Steve Smith has committed to Sydney Sixers for the next three years, a move that could see him play in the Big Bash League (BBL) beyond his Test cricket career.  Smith, now 35, could potentially feature in a full BBL season if he retires from Test cricket during this period. South African veteran legspinner Imran Tahir has pulled out of the Big Bash League due to personal reasons. The Melbourne Renegades have suffered another blow with after the 41-year-old spin bowler withdrawing from the ongoing tournament for personal reasons. The Renegades coach Michael Klinger expressed his disappointment with the unavailability of Pakistani-born South African cricketer. “He’s a great player so it is a loss. But at the same time we’ve seen Noor Ahmad a couple of games ago, a bowler who people haven’t seen that much, it might actually work in our favor. Pakistan allrounder Imad Wasim has joined Melbourne Renegades for the second half of the 10the edition of Big Bash League. The 31-year-old will join the Renegades from Boxing Day onwards after the completion of T20I series between Pakistan and New Zealand in New Zealand.  "Imad is one of the best T20 players in the world with his ability to impact games with the ball and to finish the innings with the bat," Renegades coach Michael Klinger said . Melbourne Stars have announced the signing of fast bowler Dilbar Hussain for the 10th edition of the Big Bash League. The 27-year-old, who hails from Pakistan, will be available for the entire campaign, starting on 10 December. Hussain played for the Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League alongside Stars wicket-keeper batsman Ben Dunk. “I’m very happy to be coming back to the Melbourne Stars for the Big Bash,” Hussain said . “In the short time I was with the club last season I learnt so much. I’d like to thank David Hussey who was incredibly supportive and encouraged me to keep working on my craft.” Hussain is currently completing the mandatory two weeks quarantine in West Australia and will be available for the Stars' on December 11 in Canberra. Hobart Hurricanes have announced the signing of Tim Paine for the upcoming Big Bash League (BBL) season 10. The Australian Test skipper returns to BBL for the first time in three seasons. He was a member of the Canes inaugural squad back in 2011, and went on to lead the club from 2013 to 2017. Brisbane Heat have re-signed wicket-keeper batsman Jimmy Peirson for a further two years ahead of the 10th edition of Big Bash League. The 28-year-old has played 60 matches for the Heat since joining the franchise back in 2014-15. The Heat has also secured the 25-year-old batsman Sam Heazlett and right-arm seamer Mark Steketee on new deals. Melbourne Renegades have confirmed the arrival of two overseas players Imran Tahir and Noor Ahmad for the 10th edition of the Big Bash League (BBL). South African leg-spinner Tahir, who claimed 236 wickets in 145 ODI and T20I matches - will be available after Christmas. His absence will be filled by Afghanistan left-armer Noor Ahmad. Teams in the 10th edition of the Big Bash League will be able to field up to three overseas players in their final playing XI. The 30-year-old batsman Jason Roy became the sixth Englishman involved in the Twenty20 tournament when he signed for the three-time champions Perth Scorchers on Friday. England international Alex Hales becomes the first overseas player to sign a new deal with Sydney Thunder for the Big Bash League. The Nottinghamshire batsman became the third Englishman to join the Australian professional franchise Twenty20 cricket league after Tom Banton of Brisbane Heat and Sydney Sixers's Tom Curran, with many other Brits are expected to join the trio. Hales was axed from the national team shortly before the 2019 World Cup for using recreational drugs and has not played since. Australian allrounder Dan Christian has joined the defending champions Sydney Sixers on a two-year contract. After two seasons with the Melbourne Renegades, the 37-year-old is set to be an important part of the franchise's title defence in the upcoming edition of the Twenty20 cricket Big Bash League. Christian, who is currently leading Nottinghamshire in the Vitality Blast - will link up with a long-time friend and the current Sixers skipper Moises Henriques. Sydney Sixers will be the fourth BBL franchise of Christian after his spells with the Brisbane Heat, Hobart Hurricanes and the most recent Melbourne Renegades. Melbourne Stars have announced the signing of Billy Stanlake from Adelaide Strikers ahead of the 10the edition of the Big Bash League (BBL).  The 25-year-old seamer took 34 wickets in 39 BBL matches so far in the competition.  He has been part of Australia’s ODI and T20 international squads in recent years and is currently in the United Arab of Emirates (UAE) with his Indian Premier League outfit SunRisers Hyderabad. Former Indian allrounder Yuvraj Singh has expressed his desire to participate in the Big Bash League (BBL). No Indian player has ever featured in Australia's T20 domestic tournament as the BCCI doesn't allow players to participate in the overseas league.  Yuvraj, 38, who retired from international and domestic cricket last year, is now looking for opportunities in the southern hemisphere. Yuvraj's manager Jason Warne has confirmed that he is currently working with Cricket Australia (CA) to find the left-handed batsman a franchise for the 10th edition of the BBL.  Yuvraj, who last played for India in 2017 - has scored 8701 runs in 304 ODIs, he also played 40 Tests and 58 T20Is for the Indian cricket team. The Big Bash League is slated to begin on December 3.

The Sydney Sixers have announced the signing of the Australian star batsman Steve Smith for this summer’s Big Bash League, with the 30-year-old is expected to be available for the latter stages of the forthcoming season of Big Bash League. Sydney Sixers have resigned England batsman James Vince for the forthcoming 9th edition of the Australian domestic Big Bash League (BBL). The 28-year-old Hampshire skipper played the second half of the eighth edition of BBL last summer as a replacement for compatriot Joe Denly and ever since he was exceptionally well for the franchise and impressed everyone there. Vince has represented The Three Lions in all formats of the game, he was part of England’s World Cup-winning squad, playing his last ODI fixture against Australia at Lord’s in July. The 9th edition of BBL will commence from December 17 and Sixers will begin their campaign against Perth Scorchers on December 18.
