Twitter reacts as Australian batsman Phil Hughes in critical condition with head injury

The world of cricket were left shocked when Australia batsman Phil Hughes remains in critical condition after undergoing surgery on a head injury suffered during the Sheffield Shield match between New South Wales and South Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The 25-year-old left-hander collapsed at the SCG after after being hit by bouncer - a delivery from Sean Abbott. Australia - Ryan Harris sidelined for up to 8 weeks

Cricket Australia announced, paceman Ryan Harris has been sidelined for up to eight weeks with a hamstring injury. Harris is the australia's leading wicket-taker in the recent Ashes test series in England. Harris got the injury during the fifth Ashes Test at The Oval in London to his right hamstring. The 33-year-old Harris has took 71 wickets in 16 Tests at 22.26 since his debut against New Zealand in Wellington in March 2010.

Warwickshire - Chris Wright Injured, Ruled Out

Chris Wright , the Warwickshire Right-arm fast-medium bowler has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to a stress fracture of his back. The 27-year-old, Wright has confirmed the diagnosis over Twitter: " Good luck 2 @CricketingBears 2day & 4 rest of season. Bad news will miss it due 2a stress fracture but will return stronger & better! " During this season, Warwickshire's bowling attack has been badly hit by injuries. Virender Sehwag may miss CL T20

Delhi Daredevils veteran batsman Virender Sehwag may not be able to play in the upcoming Champions League Twenty20 due to his ligament injury that he sustained during the last match against South Africa in the ICC World Twenty20 . Mark Boucher retired from International Cricket

South African wicket-keeper and batsman, Mark Boucher has taken retirement from international cricket after undergoing eye surgery. He sustained eye injury against Somerset during the opening match. Boucher said: " It is with sadness, and in some pain, that I make this announcement. Due to the severity of my eye injury, I will not be able to play international cricket again. "

Graeme Smith may miss IPL-5

South Africa's Test captain Graeme Smith will undergo surgery of his left ankle and might miss the entire season of Indian Premier League , CSA team manager Mohammad Moosajee said. " Graeme went to see CSA's ankle specialist in Cape Town on Friday and he confirmed that the best management of the chronic pain in his ankle is surgery, " Moosajee said in a CSA release. " The recovery period after such a surgery usually takes eight to ten weeks, and he will subsequently not be able to represent Pune Warriors at the 2012 edition of the Indian Premier League in India. " Smith said " I'm very disappointed to be missing out on the IPL this year. I was looking forward to my second season with Pune Warriors, especially after my knee set me back last season. "

Tim Paine would not be able to play first class cricket

The coach of South Australia, Darren Berry believes that the after the serious injury in finger, wicketkeeper batsman Tim Paine now maybe ever would not play cricket again. Berry said his meeting with the Paine was in Hobart, in the meantime he saw the injury in his finger. Manoj Tiwary in for place of Rohit in ODI squad

Manoj Tiwary , is the replacement for Rohit Sharma in ODI squad against England. Due to Rohit's right index finger fractured during the first ODI against England in Durham and has been ruled out of the ODI series. Tiwary has played only three ODIs for India, the last two were in the West Indies, he made only 2 and 22. It has been a very tough tour for Indian Team so far, losing 4-0 in the Test series and the single Twenty20 match as well. Sachin Tendulkar is also surviving with his an old toe injury.

Zaheer Khan , Fast bowler out of the England Seires due to ankle injury. Last monday he had a surgery of his injury and now he is recovering well. He was injured in the first test at lords after bowling only 13.3 overs. RP Singh has been involved in the team in place of Zaheer khan.

Zaheer Khan has been out from rest of the tour due to muscle stretch and from his ankle injury. RP Singh soon added to the team to replace zaheer khan. The BCCI said in a statement, "Zaheer Khan's injured his right foot and right ankle muscle. He has to undergo intensive surgery. So, RP Singh soon added to the team in place of zaheer khan." According to the statement, "It takes 14 to 16 weeks to completely overcome from his injury, so that Zaheer wil not be the part of a current test series and the Twenty20 international and one-day series against England."

Smith's Injury keeps out of Champions League

South Africa cricket Test captain Graeme Smith has withdraw from the Champions League Twenty20 tournament due to his knee surgery. CSA said : Smith had an injury when he was playing for Pune Warriors in the IPL-4 in April and underwent a proper cartilage operation on Friday. Proteas team manager Mohammed Moosajee said "Although his rehabilitation period will be over by the time the Champions League commences, we feel that he will not ready at the time." "He will now in a guided rehabilitation process in the coming weeks and hopefully he'll recover in time for the start of a busy international summer cricket." The Proteas host Australia in three one-dayers, two Tests and two T20 from 13th October, followed by a three Test and five ODI series against Sri Lanka.
