Steve Smith has committed to Sydney Sixers for the next three years, a move that could see him play in the Big Bash League (BBL) beyond his Test cricket career.  Smith, now 35, could potentially feature in a full BBL season if he retires from Test cricket during this period. His decision comes as fellow Test stars Marnus Labuschagne and Alex Carey also re-signed with their respective BBL teams, Brisbane Heat and Adelaide Strikers. Smith's availability for up to four games in the upcoming season marks a significant boost for the Sixers. Australian allrounder Dan Christian has joined the defending champions Sydney Sixers on a two-year contract. After two seasons with the Melbourne Renegades, the 37-year-old is set to be an important part of the franchise's title defence in the upcoming edition of the Twenty20 cricket Big Bash League. Christian, who is currently leading Nottinghamshire in the Vitality Blast - will link up with a long-time friend and the current Sixers skipper Moises Henriques. Sydney Sixers will be the fourth BBL franchise of Christian after his spells with the Brisbane Heat, Hobart Hurricanes and the most recent Melbourne Renegades. The Sydney Sixers have announced the signing of the Australian star batsman Steve Smith for this summer’s Big Bash League, with the 30-year-old is expected to be available for the latter stages of the forthcoming season of Big Bash League. Sydney Sixers have resigned England batsman James Vince for the forthcoming 9th edition of the Australian domestic Big Bash League (BBL). The 28-year-old Hampshire skipper played the second half of the eighth edition of BBL last summer as a replacement for compatriot Joe Denly and ever since he was exceptionally well for the franchise and impressed everyone there. Vince has represented The Three Lions in all formats of the game, he was part of England’s World Cup-winning squad, playing his last ODI fixture against Australia at Lord’s in July. The 9th edition of BBL will commence from December 17 and Sixers will begin their campaign against Perth Scorchers on December 18.

England allrounder Ravi Bopara has signed Sydney Sixers in Big Bash League . The 28-year-old Bopara who plays for Essex in English County , has not played a Test since 2012, though he is a part of England's limited-overs teams. He will join his fellow England batsman Michael Lumb for the Sixers. "I'm delighted to be joining the Sydney Sixers for the first half of the Big Bash," Bopara said. "The Sixers are famous throughout the cricketing world and I'm privileged to have the opportunity to represent them. "The team is full of absolutely fantastic talent and I'm looking forward to catching up and playing alongside them when we meet up next month." Bopara in his T20 career, has scored 2850 runs at a strike rate of 113.50, including one century as well as taking 88 wickets. The Pakistani batsman Umar Akmal has signed the reigning Champions League and Big Bash League trophy holders, Sydney Sixers . Akmal will play the first three BBL matches. West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo is ready to play for Sydney Sixers in the upcoming KFC T20 Big Bash competition, Recently Bravo was sidelined with an ankle injury. Last year Bravo played for Victoria in the Big Bash League. Bravo will leave on Dec 10 for Australia to play Big Bash Twenty-20 League and returning Jan 7 to take part in the 2012 Caribbean Twenty20 championship. Bravo said: "I will be flying out to Australia for the Big Bash but this time around I will also be available for Trinidad & Tobago in the regional series, as we look to defend our title."
