Indian veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has withdrawn himself from the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) citing personal reasons. The 40-years-old is the second Chennai Super Kings player after Suresh Raina to pull out of IPL 2020. Singh was earlier expected to join the franchise on September 1, but the veteran off-spinner has decided to skip the mega-rich tournament due to personal reasons. The IPL scheduled to be played from September 19 to November 10 in the UAE.

Indian bowler Harbhajan Singh, who was recently dropped for the test series against South Africa, said that he is desperate to make a comeback in the test cricket. The 35-year-old veteran has insisted that he is confident to make a comeback to the Indian Test squad in near future despite being ignored for the ongoing test series against the Proteas.  “Last ODIs I have done well. Whatever is there I am confident that I will get to play in Test matches again,” Harbhajan said . “Aggression is looking forward to the challenge. Aggression does not mean you start hitting or beating anyone. To me aggression is to let the ball and bat do the talking.”  “After playing a lot I have learnt a lot many things, cool and aggressive approach is the need of the hour.” Harbhajan made his Test debut against Australia in 1998 and has claimed 417 wickets in 103 matches with an average of 32.46.

The Indian cricketers - Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh and Gautam Gambhir will have to prove the selectors that they are still capable of playing in the 2015 World Cup. Harbhajan Singh , 31, has signed a contract with Essex County side to play in the English domestic season in second half. Harbhajan will reach United Kingdom in the mid of july and will play the remaining eight LV County Championship matches. Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh said that he still can play 5-6 years more. He said he never ran from the competition.  " I think I can still contribute to the team, " said Harbhajan Singh.

Virender sehwag , after recovering from Shoulder injury returned to the Indian team said that Harbhajan Singh will soon return to the test team against the West Indies and he expected to perform well in the home series against West Indies. He said when I was out, I played domestic cricket and made a comeback in the national team. I'm 100-percent sure that Harbhajan will perform well in domestic cricket.
