Indian skipper MS Dhoni retires from test cricket

Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has announced his retirement from test cricket with immediate effect, BCCI announced on Twitter. During his captaincy, he played 60 Tests with a winning record 27 matches while losing 18 and drawing 15 also helped India to claim the No. 1 spot in the ICC Test rankings. India Test squad for Tour of England 2014

Left-handed opening batsman Gautam Gambhir earned a recall to the Indian Test squad for the series against England , starting this summer, while the veteran left-arm fast bowler Zaheer Khan was left out due to a hamstring injury. Gambhir has been in an excellent form in this Ranji season and with his decent performance in the ongoing Indian Premier League has helped the 32-year-old to be included in an 18-man squad for the five-Test match series of England which starts in July. Indian Test Squad against Australia

The announcement of Indian cricket team for Australia tour in the Next month has been announced on Saturday. Best performance in the test series against West Indies, Off-spinner R Ashwin and left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha has been selected in the test team. Indian test team announced against West Indies

Kolkata, Friday, October 28, 2011 National selectors has been finally excluded off-spinner Harbhajan Singh from Indian test team, Whereas, Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh has been included in the test team squad. Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, pragyan Ojha and young leg spinner Rahul Sharma has included in the team. However, leg spinner Amit Mishra has been discharged from the test team squad. Virender sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh have been out of his injuries and are included in the team.
