NZ’s Tom Latham returns to Durham for the 2018 campaign

Durham have signed New Zealand batsman Tom Latham, who will join up with the north-east county next season, subject to international duties. The 25-year-old has scored 139 runs in his five NatWest T20 Blast matches after arriving to the county for the second half of the season with an average of 63.66 in four Specsavers County Championship games. Latham is likely to miss Durham's final Division Two matches of the campaign as he prepares for New Zealand's ODI and T20 series which is to be held in India but will make a return to Chester-le-Street for the rest of the 2018 tournament. Adelaide Strikers have announced the signing of Afghanistan spin sensation Rashid Khan for the seventh edition of the Australia's domestic T20 Big Bash League. Rashid becomes the first Afghan cricketer to be played in Australia's domestic T20 league and the second overseas player for Strikers. "I am very happy to have signed with the Strikers for the BBL," the 18-year-old leg-spinner said .
