Kumar Sangakkara joins Durham

The veteran Sri Lanka batsman Kumar Sangakkara has signed Durham on a short-term deal for the next two rounds of County Championship matches. Sangakkara, 36, will play the upcoming LV=County Championship clash against Yorkshire and Sussex next month. Marvan Atapattu appointed Sri Lanka interim head coach

Former spinner and current fielding coach Ruwan Kalpage has been appointed as Atapattu’s assistant. Atapattu, 43, played 90 Tests with an average of 39 and scored 5,502 runs along with 16 centuries for his country. He also played 268 one-day internationals, averaging 37.57 and scored 8,529 runs including 11 hundreds. Sri Lanka will play England in two Test matches, five one-day internationals and one Twenty20 fixture during the tour.

Essex sign New Zealand batsman Jesse Ryder

Essex have signed New Zealand all-rounder Jesse Ryder as the Overseas player for the 2014 season. Peter Moores appointed as England coach

The Lancashire chief Peter Moores has been confirmed as the new head coach of the England cricket team for the second time, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced . Moores joined Lancashire in February 2009, and guided Sussex to the County Championship title in 2003. Moores gets excited to returns as England coach, said: " I am very excited about the prospect of returning to a role I have done before and to building a strong relationship with Alastair Cook and the rest of the players and staff. In any time of change there comes opportunity and this is one I can’t wait to get stuck into. " Moores, 51, was in charge of the national side for two years between 2007-09, but was sacked following a dispute with Kevin Pietersen. Moores first match as a coach will be a ODI against Scotland on 9 May, before limited-overs and Test series against Sri Lanka, starting on 20th May.

New Zealand Test squad for tour of the West Indies

New Zealand wicketkeeper Luke Ronchi and offspinner Mark Craig has been included in a 15-man squad for the three-Test series against the West Indies , starting in June. Ronchi, 32, has been a regular player of in Black Caps's limited-overs squads. However, it will be his first chance to secure a place in Test cricket. New Zealand will play three tests and a couple of Twenty20 Internationals in the first week of July. Indian Premier League 2014 Preview - 7th Edition

Indian Premier League is in its seventh season, which every Cricket fan loves the most. IPL season 7 is expected to be much more interesting with full of excitement among the fans and players, as the 1st leg of the IPL-7 is shifted in front of Emirates crowd, UAE. The first match of the tournament will be played on 16th of this month, in which Last years’ champions Mumbai Indians will face Kolkata Knight Riders at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Brett Lee marries again

Former Australian pacer Brett Lee has married to his girlfriend Lana Anderson at his new home in Seaforth, according to DailyTelegraph . The 37-year-old Lee ties the knot for second time, after he divorced to his first wife Elizabeth Kemp in 2008. The report claims that the couple is believed to have moved in together at the end of last year.
