Bangladesh name Test, ODI and T20 squads for West Indies tour

Bangladesh will tour West Indies for two Tests, three T20Is, and as many ODIs in June-July.  Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have announced the squads for the multi-format tour of the Caribbean island starting June 16. The 26-year-old seamer Mustafizur Rahman is all set to make his return to test cricket as he was included in the squad. England eye Test revolution, County Championship takes shape, T20 World Cup looms large

Cricket fans have plenty to look forward to during the rest of 2022, with the upcoming schedule packed with tons of top-class action. Before the tournament gets underway, England’s Test team will dominate most of the summer headlines as they bid to bounce back to form. With the County Championship also in full swing, this is a good time to look at what the rest of the year has in store. England eye Test revolution under McCullum Former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum has a big job on his hands as he bids to turn England’s fortunes around in Test cricket. The 40-year-old has signed a four-deal as head coach of England’s Test team and will kick off his tenure with a three-match series against his former team. McCullum, who is better known as a coach in the white-ball version of the game, was a unanimous choice by the ECB’s selection panel. Matthew Mott named as England's white ball coach

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have named Matthew Mott as England's new white-ball coach. The 48-year-old joins the set-up following his successful stint in charge of the Australian women’s team. Under his tenure, the Australian women team won the ODI World Cup in New Zealand before winning back-to-back T20 World Cups and four consecutive Ashes series. Mott, who has previously coached in the county cricket with Glamorgan, has signed a four-year contract to lead the current 50-over world champions. Mott's first series will be a three-match ODI tour of the Netherlands starting on 17 June. The T20 World Cup 2022 begins in Australia in October while England will fight for their 50-over world cup title in India next year.

England squad for New Zealand Tests

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have announced the 13-member England squad for the first two Tests against New Zealand, starting on June 02 at Lords in London. Under the leadership of Ben Stokes (captain), England has recalled James Anderson and Stuart Broad to the red-ball outfit.  Chris Woakes, Jofra Archer, Sam Curran, Mark Wood and Saqib Mahmood have not been included due to their respective injuries. Australian legend Andrew Symonds dies in car accident

Australian allrounder Andrew Symonds passed away in a horrific car accident near the outskirts of the city of Townsville on Saturday night, the North Queensland Police confirmed. The 46-year-old represented Australia in 26 Tests and 198 ODIs from 1998 to 2009. Symonds is the second famous Aussie cricketer to pass away in 2022 following the demise of leg-spinner Shane Warne, who died earlier this year in March. Chris Lynn joins Northamptonshire for T20 Blast

Northamptonshire have signed the Australian batsman Chris Lynn for the T20 Blast this season. The 32-year-old, who has established a reputation as one of the hardest hitters in the T20 format, has never previously played in the county cricket. "I have always wanted to play county cricket and I'm really looking forward to joining up with Northamptonshire for the Vitality Blast," said Lynn. "The UK is a great place to play, and I am hopeful that I can contribute with some good performances and also try to entertain the Steelback fans this summer." Lynn joins NZ allrounder Jimmy Neesham as Northamptonshire's second overseas player for the competition.
