BBL: Tillakaratne Dilshan signs Sydney Thunder

Sri Lankan former test cricketer, Tillakaratne Dilshan has has put pen to paper with Sydney Thunder for the forthcoming season of the Big Bash League . Dilshan said, ''I'm really keen to play in the Big Bash. It's such a wonderful, competitive tournament, I've been hoping to play for the past three years but [each time] I've had to go for international duty. This year I'm free to play almost the entire tournament. It's really exciting. I've always enjoyed Australian wickets, with the extra bounce. I'm really eager for this opportunity.'' The 37-year-old right-handed batsman will join the former Australia Michael Hussey in Sydney Thunder.

Snickometer to be used for DRS in Ashes

Channel 9 broadcasters and developers of the real-time Snickometer have announced to include the technology in the Decision Review System tools for umpires during the Ashes series, starting on November 21 at The Gabba, Brisbane. Sussex sign Ashar Zaidi on two-year deal

Pakistan -born allrounder, Ashar Zaidi has penned a two-year contract with Sussex. It has been reported that The 32-year-old is the replacement of Monty Panesar with a spin option in next season. England allrounder Ravi Bopara has signed Sydney Sixers in Big Bash League . The 28-year-old Bopara who plays for Essex in English County , has not played a Test since 2012, though he is a part of England's limited-overs teams. Shane Watson fit to play in 1st Ashes 2013-14 Test

Australian batsman Shane Watson is ready to play the first Ashes 2013-14 Test against England , with cleared of his serious injury. The 32-year-old all-rounder had picked up a left hamstring strain during Australia's recent tour of India, and it had been reported that he could miss the first Ashes Test at Brisbane starting on November 21. But Physiotherapist Alex Kountouris said, Watson would be ready and he describes the injury as "a low-grade muscle strain". "He will have intense treatment and rehabilitation in Sydney over the coming days and just how well he responds to this will determine how quickly he can resume full training and match preparation," he said. Dolphins re-sign Chris Gayle for 2013-14 domestic T20 competition

Dolphins have re-signed West Indies batsman Chris Gayle for South Africa 's T20 competition. Gayle has signed for R1 million in the 2011-12 season, but he left with an injury, not appeared in a single match.
