Eng vs West Indies: Eoin Morgan ruled out for rest of the T20 series

England captain Eoin Morgan will be sidelined for the fourth and fifth match of the T20 series after suffering a minor right thigh-muscle injury. The Irishman has suffered a minor right thigh-muscle injury which will keep him out for the remaining matches of the T20 international series against the West Indies. The 35-year-old was forced to miss the 20-run defeat to the hosts on Wednesday after having pain in the pre-match warm-up. The allrounder Moeen Ali will lead the side in Morgan's absence and is likely to retain the role for the rest of the series this weekend.

IPL 2020: Eoin Morgan to lead Kolkata Knight Riders

The two-time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders have named Eoin Morgan as their new captain, replacing Dinesh Karthik, who faced huge criticism for his performance with the bat in the current season. The wicketkeeper-batsman has struggled to score much with the bat in the tournament so far. In a media statement , the franchise said Karthik "wishes to handover" the captainship to Morgan "with a view to focus on his batting and contributing more to the team's cause." The 34-year-old Irishman will lead the Knight for the rest of the campaign. The England World Cup winner re-joined KKR during the Indian Premier League auction last December. England's 15-man squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015

England have announced their 15-man squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 in Australia and New Zealand. The Left-handed batsman Eoin Morgan will lead the side in place of Alastair Cook, who was sacked from the captaincy on Friday following the miserable run of form. Alastair Cook, Harry Gurney and Ben Stokes has been dropped from the unit, while the experienced Stuart Broad, Joe Root, Ian Bell and James Anderson are all included for the World Cup. CONFIRMED: Eoin Morgan returns to Sydney Thunder

Sydney Thunder have confirmed that the England international Eoin Morgan will feature in the upcoming Big Bash League, staring from 18 December 2014 to 28 January 2015. He is agreed to play in yet another four games, before joining the England squad for the ICC World Cup 2015. Morgan will join the star batsman Usman Khawaja, Jacques Kallis and Mike Hussey, which seems to be a good line up for Thunder this season. Morgan's England teammates Michael Lumb and Alex Hales have also signed to play in the BBL with the Sydney Sixers and Hobart Hurricanes respectively.

Eoin Morgan disappointed with bowlers

England captain Eoin Morgan has been disappointed with his team's bowling attack following the nine-run T20 defeat to Sri Lanka on Tuesday at the Oval. The world T20 champions, Sri Lanka made an impressive 183 runs in 20 overs. "Our bowling has let us down for quite a while," said Middlesex left-hander Morgan. "We either get up there with the chase and just fall short, or set a good score." The hosts have lost nine of their eleven Twenty20 this year. All-rounder Thisara Perera smashed a rapid 49 runs off 20 balls and was named Man of the Match . BBL: Morgan signs Sydney Thunder

England batsman, Eoin Morgan has signed for Sydney Thunder at Australia's biggest T-20 tournament, Big Bash League that begins on December 21. "I am really excited about getting the opportunity to join the Sydney Thunder for this season's Big Bash," Morgan said in a statement. "I have been a big admirer of the tournament and I'm looking forward to getting a chance to play in it." The 27-year-old, who also plays for Kolkata Knight Riders in Indian Premier League  was recently not picked for the England Ashes squad .

England Squad for Australia one-day series

England have announced 14-man squad for the five-match one-day international series against Australia starting from next month. Eoin Morgan will be the captain in Cook's absence, while for the first time pace bowlers Chris Jordan and Jamie Overton are included in an England squad. " Following a very intense period of cricket this summer we have decided to rest a number of senior players which will allow them to recover from a heavy workload over the last three months and to prepare for the tour of Australia which begins in eight weeks, " national selector Geoff Miller said in a statement. The first ODI will take place on Sept. 6 at Headingley. England Test squad against Sri Lanka

England's Eoin Morgan has been dropped from Test squad for the test series against Sri Lanka. England will play the first Test against Sri Lanka on March 26 in Galle. England is number 1 in Twenty-20 Rankings

International Cricket Council ( ICC ) Twenty-20 world champion England is in the number one team in T20 ranking, while England's batsman Eoin Morgan is the number 1 in batting rating, Sri Lankan spinner Ajantha Mendis is the top bowler and Shane Watson of Australia is the top all-rounder. England has 127 points and Sri Lanka with 126 points. If England win the Twenty-20 match against India on October 29 at Eden gardens then England would get four points, if England lose the match then they will slipped down from Sri Lanka. New Zealand (117) Thirdly, South Africa (113) the fourth, India (112) fifth and Australia (111) is in the sixth place. Pakistan (97) in seventh followed by West Indies, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe.

Eoin Morgan Will Return To IPL

England Great explosive Batsmen Eoin Morgan said that If in the Sri Lanka test match they did not get place in the national team then, he will be available for his franchise Kolkata Knight Riders team in Indian Premier League (IPL). Sri Lanka warm-up match against England Lions from scoring double century of 193 missed Morgan told reporters that if I chose not then I will make another plan. We have been doing great in the IPL and if the team reached in playoff then i will back in IPL . In IPL only 137 runs so far in the tournament Morgan said changes to their batting order they learned a lot. He said there are circumstances in which use them in my batting has improved. It is part of the learning process.
