Caribbean Premier League: Mohammad Amir to make his debut for Barbados Tridents

Former Pakistan seamer Mohammad Amir is ready to make his debut in the latest edition of the Caribbean Premier League, starting from August 28. The 29-year-old announced his retirement from international cricket in December last year, owing to his feud with Pakistan’s team management. The veteran speedster continues to feature in the various T20 leagues across the globe. He will now be available in the Caribbean Premier League as the left-arm pacer has been signed by Barbados Tridents for the ninth edition that kicks off in St Kitts & Nevis in August 2021.  Amir has claimed 59 wickets in 50 T20I for Pakistan.

Mohammad Amir to join Pakistan squad for England tour

Pakistan bowler Mohammad Amir will join the national squad for the upcoming tour to England. The 28-year-old had previously made himself unavailable for the series in oder to be with his wife for the birth of their second daughter. Much like others, the left-arm seamer will have to be tested negative twice for COVID-19 before traveling to England. If cleared, Amir will feature in the three T20 Internationals against England, starting August 28 at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton. Pakistan is scheduled to play three Tests and three T20s during the tour. The three-Test match series gets underway on 5 August at Old Trafford. Pakistani Cricketer Mohammad Amir released from jail

Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Amir has been released from jail after serving half of a six-month sentence. Amir is likely to spend few weeks in London to meet his lawyers before returning to Pakistan. In February last year ICC banned Amir for five years with his team-mate Mohammad Asif for seven-year ban, addition two years suspended, and Salman Butt was banned for ten years.
