The Pakistan Cricket Board has planned a short tour of the West Indies in mid of July to play five-match ODI series and two Twenty20 matches after the West Indies Cricket Board revised a confirmed tour. As per the official sources " The WICB has said they will schedule the Test matches at a later date." "The team will return home from the Champions Trophy and then leave for the West Indies on July 7 and from there will go straight to Zimbabwe to play three ODIs and two T20 matches in August.  

The great batsman Adrian Barath has returned to the West Indies squad against India in the three-match test series. however, Chris gayle is not included to the West Indies squad. The WICB said the squad for the 5 ODI's in India would be announced later. West Indies Test squad for India series : Darren Sammy (Captain), Carlton Baugh, Adrian Barath, Kraigg Brathwaite, Devendra Bishoo, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Darren Bravo, Keiran Powell, Kirk Edwards, Fidel Edwards, Ravi Rampaul, Denesh Ramdin, Marlon Samuels, Shane Shillingford and Kemar Roach

Controversy surrounded the Great batsman and former captain of West Indies Chris Gayle have become so upset from Caribbean Cricket Board attitude that he is considering to abandoned the national team. Gayle alleged that the during crisis the Caribbean Board left him isolated separately. Gayle was not picked in ODI series against Pakistan .He was also not selected in ODI series against India, and now for the Test series against India the Caribbean Cricket Board still not picked him in Squad.

All rounder Kieron Pollard won the One-day International Player of the Year award.
