Pakistan Cricket Board appointed the former Pakistan's wicketkeeper Moin Khan as a new head coach of Pakistan cricket team for the forthcoming two big tournaments - Asia Cup and World T20 to be held in Bangladesh. Moin is set to replace Dav Whatmore, whose current contract with PCB expires this month and recently been replaced by Zakir Khan. In addition, PCB appointed the former fast bowler Mohammad Akram as a team's bowling coach on a two-year contract. Pakistan is currently sit on fifth, sixth and fourth position at the ICC rankings for Tests, ODIs and Twenty20 respectively. Following with these two above appointments by PCB will boost the ranking of Pakistan cricket team.

Pakistan to play against Sri Lanka in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) between December 2013 and January 2014 in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. The series includes three Tests, five ODIs and two Twenty20s. Pakistan pace bowler Mohammad Asif has admitted to spot-fixing during a meeting with the Pakistan Cricket Board in Lahore. PCB said that Asif met with Subhan Ahmad, the chief operating officer of PCB and confessed that he had indulged in spot-fixing during the fourth Test against England at Lords in 2010. "He (Asif) said he was ashamed of what he had done and his conscience had been troubling him for the last many months but he was scared to speak out the truth,"  " Asif said he finally gathered courage to admit his guilt as he wanted to revive his cricketing career and also salvage his image, " the source added. The 30-year-old, Asif is one of the most controversial personality among the banned players and has also been found guilty of failing a dope test, carrying marijuana and other problems in the past.

The former Pakistan captain, Moin Khan has been appointed as the chief selector of the Pakistan national team, PCB announced. He will replace former chief selector Iqbal Qasim . " It is an honour and a privilege to be offered the position of chairman of national selection committee - a position held by many greats in the past and most recently by legendary Iqbal Qasim, " Moin said. " I have accepted this as a challenge and I am glad that PCB and my own vision correspond in terms of preparing a pool of talented cricketers who can mount an effective challenge in the 2015 World Cup . " The 41-year-old has represented Pakistan in 219 ODIs and he is one of the most successful wicketkeeper for Pakistan in ODIs with 287 dismissals.

The Pakistan Cricket Board have announced the schedule for its series against South Africa to be held in October 2013, that includes two Tests, five one-day international and two Twenty20 games. The entire series will be played in United Arab Emirates . The PCB have announced all the matches will be played between October 14 and November 15 and Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah will be the venue. South Africa will open the tour with a three-day warm-up match before the first Test in Abu Dhabi on October 14. The PCB have imposed a life ban on Pakistan's disgraced spinner Danish Kaneria's career for indulging in spot-fixing during the 2009 English county season.by the England and Wales Cricket Board this week. The PCB said it was handing down the punishment after Kaneria lost his appeal against the life ban imposed on him by the England and Wales Cricket Board this week. " The ECB appeals panel has upheld the life ban on Kaneria and the PCB is bound to recognise, respect and enforce the ban in Pakistan, " the statement said. The PCB said Kaneria would be suspended for life from any involvement in the playing, organisation or administration of cricket in any form or manner under the jurisdiction of PCB.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has planned a short tour of the West Indies in mid of July to play five-match ODI series and two Twenty20 matches after the West Indies Cricket Board revised a confirmed tour. As per the official sources " The WICB has said they will schedule the Test matches at a later date." "The team will return home from the Champions Trophy and then leave for the West Indies on July 7 and from there will go straight to Zimbabwe to play three ODIs and two T20 matches in August.  

Pakistan announced schedule of a limited over series against Australia. The PCB said in a statement, " The matches will be held in the UAE from 28 August until 10 September. The series will comprise three one-day internationals and three Twenty20 internationals. Pakistan Cricket Board ( PCB ) has appointed former fast bowler Aaqib Javed as the bowling coach of the team just before the test series against England in UAE starts in January. Javed has been added in the nine-man support staff for the series. The former Pakistan batsman, Ijaz Ahmed , has been named as the fielding coach, while Mohsin Khan continue as the interim head coach.

Pakistan Cricket Board ( PCB ) once again supported the use of the review system ( UDRS ). Announced that the UDRS will be used in ODI and test series against England in next month. Pakistan to play three test and ODI series against England in UAE starting from 17th Jan.

Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the team for the upcoming series against Bangladesh. Left arm fast bowler Wahab Riaz has not been selected in the squad. Young fast bowler Mohammad Talha will replace Riaz. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to appoint specialist coaches for the national team and has already declared in advertisement on its website http://www.pcb.com.pk/. Last date to apply is November 18.

Lahore, Wednesday, October 12, 2011 Asif Zardari, The President of Pakistan has appointed Chaudhry Zaka Ashraf as the new chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in place of former Test cricketer Ijaz Butt Statement issued on behalf of the President's Office said that the Zaka Ashraf has been appointed Board's new Chairman. He will replace Ijaz Butt, whose three-year tenure has been ended on October 8.

Besides, Former National Cricket Academy head coach Muddasir Nazar, former assistant coach Aqib Javed, Haroon Rasheed and Javed Miandad is also in the race. Source said PCB want Foreign coach along with pakistani Assistant. Currently the competition between coach for pakistan is between Mickey Arthur (South Africa), Dav Whatmore (Australia) and Peter Moores (England).

Pakistan's former Captain Shahid Afridi , advised to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to appoint specialist coaches . Afridi said the Pakistan team needs an excellent Manager, under which coaches should work on bowling, fielding and batting. He added instead of assistant coach, PCB should also appoint manager.

Waqar Younis has resigned as a coach for pakistan team because of personal reasons that his and his wife's health. His last and final assignment with pakistan team will be the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe. Waqar Younis said at press conference " I have tendered my resignation to the [Pakistan Cricket] board last week and the tour to Zimbabwe will be my last. " " I only told the players on Saturday morning, and they were shocked because until today the matter was between me and the PCB, but I am sure that this young team will do well in future ." Nadeem Sarwar , PCB spokesman said: " The PCB has accepted his resignation and understands his personal reasons. His tenure was good and we wish him the best in his future ." The PCB did not yet confirm the replacement for Waqar. The Zimbabwe tour will begin on August 28 and it includes one practice game, one Test match, three ODIs and two T20 internationals.

Karachi, Monday, August 15, 2011 Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Yousuf has decided to take retirement from all types of competitive cricket. The senior batsmen, closest sources said Yousuf has decided not to participate in any local or local cricket competitions, because Yousuf is quite unhappy with the situations after being dropped out from the list of contracted players by the PCB .

Karachi, Wednesday, 15 June 2011 Pakistan Cricket Board has agreed to allow Afridi to play for county side Hampshire. Sources said that board will allow Afridi to join Hampshire in the next week. Afridi met with PCB Chairman Ijaz Butt in the presence of a government official. A source said the outcome of the meeting was positive. Afridi now can play for Hampshire. Afridi's manager Umran Khan also confirmed that the meeting was positive and both sides agreed to resolve by mutual consent.He said Hampshire manager Giles White is very happy.

The Recent attacks in Pakistan, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has clearly refused to tour Pakistan. In Karachi last Sunday at Navy Air Force base because of the terrorist attack Sri Lankan cricket team's tour of Pakistan has seems to break. SLC spokesman said on phone the Sri Lankan Board is very concerned about the safety of the team , in which Sri Lanka has refused to tour Pakistan. Before (SLC) secretary Nishant Ranatunga said the team's tour of Pakistan can be no compromise over security. Ranatunga said "Pakistan is a close friend of ours and we also know that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is going through financial constraints, but the safety of our players is most important." Earlier from last several months, the PCB keep sending invitations to play three Tests and five one-day matches in Pakistan to Sri Lankan Board.
