Jason Gillespie named Australia’s T20 assistant coach

Former Australian Test bowler Jason Gillespie has been appointed as assistant coach for Australia's Twenty20 campaign against Sri Lanka for the three T20 internationals in February. Cricket Australia have announced that the 41-year-old will work with Justin Langer, who was named as coach earlier this month. Gillespie has a vast of experience including five successful years as head coach of English county Yorkshire.  "I'm just buzzing to get this role. It really is an exciting opportunity and I'm humbled to be thought of by Cricket Australia in this regard," the Sydney born bowler said .  "With some players likely to be away in India it really will be a shop window for players from the BBL to showcase their skills and to show the selectors and the Australian public what they can do."  Gillespie has claimed 259 wickets in 71 Tests and 142 wickets in 97 ODIs for Australia.  The three T20s against Sri Lanka will take place at the ...

Yorkshire sign Kane Williamson

Yorkshire have confirmed the signing of New Zealand batsman Kane Williamson for the last five games of the County Championship . Williamson is likely to be available for the match against Nottinghamshire on August 21 at Trent Bridge, and will remain with the team until the end of the season. Yorkshire are currently leading Division One with 158 points from 11 games. Williamson, a regular player in New Zealand's Test side over the past three years, has played 25 Tests and scored 1385 runs at an average of 31.47. He also has previous county experience with Gloucestershire as an overseas player in 2011 and 2012. Gillespie the new coach for Yorkshire

Jason Gillespie , the former Australian fast bowler has been appointed as the new coach of Yorkshire on a two-year term, said English county . Gillespie played for county from 2006 to 2007. He also spent time as a bowling coach in the IPL with Kings XI Punjab and Australia A including with Zimbabwe domestic team MidWest Rhinos . In his test career between 1996 to 2006, He played 71 test matches and took 259 wickets.
