India have announced their squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022, scheduled to take place in Australia. Jasprit Bumrah, Ravichandran Ashwin and Harshal Patel have been named to the 15-member squad. However, star all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the squad due to his injured right knee.  Rishabh Pant, Dinesh Karthik and Arshdeep Singh have made it to India’s 15-member squad for the 20-over global showpiece event. India squad: Rohit Sharma (Captain), KL Rahul (vice-captain), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Dinesh Karthik (wicket-keeper), Hardik Pandya, R. Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh. Standby players: Mohammed Shami, Shreyas Iyer, Ravi Bishnoi, Deepak Chahar.

Indian all-rounder Suresh Raina has announced his retirement from all formats of the game.  The 35-year-old, who last played for Chennai Super Kings in the 2021 IPL, ended his career with 5,615 runs in 226 ODIs and 1,605 runs in 78 T20I matches.  It has been an absolute honour to represent my country & state UP. The reigning champions Australia have announced their 15-man squad to retain the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup title. The 26-year-old hard-hitting batsman Tim David has been picked by the selectors for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
