Pakistan Test skipper Misbah-ul-Haq has stated that he is currently focussed on leading his side well during their forthcoming tour to England. Asked about the announcement regarding his Test cricket future, Misbah-ul-Haq insisted that his only focus, for now, is to guide his side well on their tour to England.  However, according reports , the 42-year-old has held talks with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding his future and is expected to make a final call after completing the tour.  "He has informed the PCB he will decide on whether he will continue to play Test cricket after the series in England," the source said. "Right now, I am just focusing on the four Tests in England because if we want to show everyone our top three ranking in Test cricket is not based around our wins in the UAE we need to put up a good show against England,” the skipper said in an interview.

Pakistan test skipper Misbah-ul-Haq could announce his retirement from test cricket after the conclusion of the final test against England in Sharjah, according to Express Tribune .  The veteran batsman, who is country’s most successful Test captain is hopeful to finish the series on a winning note in the final test on Sunday. “I was trying to make a decision before this Test but now I have just left it, I will really think about what I should do because there is a long gap before our next series. One should think about leaving the game with respect rather than leaving it when he is forced to leave,” Misbah said. Pakistan Right-handed batsman, Misbah-ul-Haq has been retained as skipper for the test series against South Africa in next month, announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board on Thursday, The complete test squad for the series will be announced later. The 23-year-old, Umar Amin will lead Pakistan A for three-day warmup game against the Proteas. The two tests to be played in Abu Dhabi from Oct. 14-18, and in Dubai the following week. After that five ODI's and two Twenty20s internationals to be played between both of them. Pakistan skipper, Misbah-ul-Haq has signed the St Lucia Zouks side for the inaugural season of Caribbean Premier League . He will replace Australia's Luke Pomersbach , who has been forced to pull out of the tournament. Matthew Maynard, the Zouks assistant coach, said: " Although it is unfortunate that Luke Pomersbach will not be joining us, we have a high-quality replacement in Misbah-ul-Haq, He brings with him a vast amount of experience of international cricket, something that will only be of benefit to our younger players, and his latest Twenty20 performance speaks for itself. Misbah-ul-Haq , Pakistan skipper has said that he has no intentions of stepping down as captaincy and he wants to lead the team in every formats of the game, including the Twenty20 World Cup in Sri Lanka later on this year. Misbah said, " I don't want to confine myself to only playing Test matches. I know I am good enough for all three formats and I am looking forward to leading Pakistan in Twenty20 World Cup. " Misbah comments over IPL , " It is a big event and there is quality cricket being played in the IPL. Every player wants to be part of the IPL.
