Indian skipper MS Dhoni retires from test cricket

Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has announced his retirement from test cricket with immediate effect, BCCI announced on Twitter. News Alert - MS Dhoni has chosen to retire from Test Cricket with immediate effect #MSD #Captain — BCCI (@BCCI) December 30, 2014 The 33-year-old wicket-keeper has decided to retire from Test match cricket in order to concentrate on One Day Internationals and T20 formats. Dhoni, who has established himself as one of the India's most successful wicket-keeper batsman of all time - has scored 4876 runs in 90 Tests at an average of 38.09 for his country. During his captaincy, he played 60 Tests with a winning record 27 matches while losing 18 and drawing 15 also helped India to claim the No. 1 spot in the ICC Test rankings. Forbes: Mahendra Singh Dhoni world's 5th most valuable athlete

Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been ranked fifth in Forbes’ world’s most valuable sports athlete brands list. Forbes quotes that the 33-year-old wicket-keeper batsman has a brand value of $20m in 2014. He is the only Indian sports athlete to feature on Forbes' list of the world's most valuable athlete brands.

Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has insisted that his team is looking forward to claim the ICC World T20 trophy next year in Bangladesh, according to The Times of India . Dhoni's bat fetches Rs.72 lakh at auction

Mahendra Singh Dhoni to Doctorate degree

London, Thursday, August 25, 2011 Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni , is to be honoured by De Montfort University (DMU) degree of doctor of law. University of Leicestershire, DMU will give an Honorary Doctorate degree at a ceremony on August 29. Before that India will play the one-day practice match against the Leicestershire on Monday 29 August. Professor Dominic Shellard, Vice-Chancellor of DMU said " I'm glad that De Montfort University (DMU) has decided to present Doctorate degree to the captain of World Cup-winning team. Harbhajan' Mother sues UB over Dhoni spoof commerical

Indian Great Spinner, Harbhajan Singh 's mother has lodge a legal notice against an advertisement in which India captain M.s Dhoni ridicules her son. The spoof shows a Harbhajan Singh lookalike being slapped. Harbhajan's mom Avtar Kaur has asked the company to apologise and withdraw the advertisement in 3 days of receiving the legal notice. However, the Times of India newspaper reported that the chief of UB Group " Vijay Mallya ", has ruled out withdrawing the commercial. Vijay Mallya, who is also the head of Formula One [F1] team Force India, told the newspaper that "It was not meant to attack Harbhajan Singh personally. It was just a spoof between two brands" "There are several TV programmes that spoof our politicians. What will happen if all of them start sending legal notices?"

Dhoni's Statement after becoming champion in IPL

Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the second time IPL champions. After beating the royal challengers banglore by 58 runs, Dhoni said both victory are special,the last time we struggled to reach the semifinals but this time we had reached playoff with ease. He said i am also happy that we have also got Fairplay Award . People say that you will have to play hard cricket but we also showed that you can win with Fair Play.
