NZ Coach Mike Hesson extends contract until 2019 World Cup

New Zealand coach Mike Hesson, whose contract was due to expire in April 2017 - has extended his contract until after 2019 World Cup, to be played in England and Wales from May-July 2019. The 41-year-old will now be with the Black Caps after the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. He was appointed as head coach after replacing John Wright on 20 July, 2012 and has shown an outstanding success, guided New Zealand to finish runners-up in the 2015 World Cup that was held in Australia-New Zealand and as semi-finalists in the World T20. England squad to face Sri Lanka

England have announced their 12-man squad for the first Test against Sri Lanka at Headingley, starting May 19. Hampshire batsman James Vince and Nottinghamshire seamer Jake Ball both earned maiden call-ups to the squad. The Kings XI Punjab secured a crucial nine-run win over Delhi Daredevils at their home ground on Saturday night. Marcus Stoinis and Wriddhiman Saha both scored 52 runs for the Punjab as the hosts posted a competitive 181-5. The Kings’ bowlers bowled superbly in the second half and defeat Delhi Daredevils by nine runs in at the PCA stadium in Mohali. With their third win in nine games this season, Punjab kept their hopes alive for the top-four finish in the IPL 2016. Pakistan-West indies to play day-night Test in UAE

The West Indies Cricket board and Pakistan Cricket Board both have agreed to play one of the two scheduled Tests under the flood lights (Day and Night Test). The two-match test series will be held in the mid of September this year at United Arab Of Emirates, Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shaharyar Khan confirmed. It would be the first day and night Test for both nations Pakistan and West Indies. Besides the Tests series, The current T20 champions are set to play five One Day Internationals and two T20I in October.
