IPL 8: Pune and Chennai set to return as host venues

Good news for Pune and Chennai residents as the IPL Governing Council have announced that Pune and Chennai stadiums have been included to the list of host venues for the eighth season of Indian Premier League after having missed out in 2014 due to valid reasons. The 2015 Indian Premier League games will get underway on April 8, and the final match to be played on May 24, The IPL governing council have also announced the dates for the next two seasons.  The 2016 edition will be played between Apr 8-May 29, while the 2017 edition will commence on Apr 5-May 21.

Chris Gayle Scored The Fastest Century

The Royal Challengers Bangalore opener batsman Chris Gayle has set a new record milestone for the fastest century in the history of professional cricket by hitting a ton off just 30 balls against Pune Warriors India in the Indian Premier League season 6. West Indies international, Gayle smashed century in just 30-ball with the help of 11 sixes and 8 boundaries. The fastest in the history of the game. At the end of an innings, Gayle was not out with 175 runs in 66 balls. Gayle stated just after his innings, " I am lost for words myself. It was just one of those days, it was a good wicket. We went berserk in the first 6 overs, it worked out well. Then I decided to play myself a bit in and very happy that it went my way. Clarke out, Finch in for IPL-6

Australian cricket team Captain Michael Clarke has been ruled out of the entire season of IPL 6 due to a back injury. Aaron Finch , The Australian Right-handed batsman who plays for Victoria will replace him in the Pune Warriors squad for the upcoming season of IPL. Finch will join Pune Warriors after playing for Rajasthan Royals in 2010 and Delhi Daredevils in 2011 and 2012. He plays for Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League and averaged 66.40 in eight matches last season, scoring 332 runs with a highest score of 111 not out. Captain of Pune Warriors India , Sourav Ganguly has been fined 20000 USD for a slow over rate match against Deccan Chargers. PWI (Pune Warriors India) lost their match by 13 runs against  Deccan Chargers .

Pune Warriors has signed the West Indies all-rounder Marlon Samuels for the upcoming season of IPL-5 Samuels will be available for the first half season of IPL to play for Warriors.

Ganguly, Donald join Pune Warriors

Former Indian Captain Sourav Ganguly and Former Fast Bowler of South Africa Allan Donald have been included to the Pune Warriors as a coaching staff in the fifth season of the IPL . Ganguly will be the mentor and a player, while Donald will be the bowling coach for Pune Warriors. Ganguly has been retained for $400,000 by the franchise.
