Asia Cup 2018: Pakistan vs India in Dubai (Sept 19)

Arch-rivals Pakistan and India will face off in Dubai in this year´s Asia Cup, the ICC announced Tuesday. The 14th edition of the Asia Cup was initially supposed to be held in India but later it was moved to the United Arab Emirates because of strained relations between the two countries. The 13-match tournament (50-over ODI format) will gets underway on September 15 with Sri Lanka take on Bangladesh, the ICC said. UAE could host IPL in 2019 due to General Elections

The next season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) could likely to take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to the country’s general elections set to take place in 2019. The 12th season of the IPL set to get underway on March 29 to May 19 next year but BCCI are fully aware that there remains a possibility of general elections happening during that time of the year. “Well, we will only take a call when the situation arises, but we are ready for any such eventuality. United Arab Emirates looks to be the most likely country where it would be shifted if need be,” a senior BCCI official told PTI on the condition of anonymity. “UAE’s time zone suits the Indian audience unlike South Africa,” he stated. IPL matches could be played at three venues — Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Previously, it happened twice in the past due to general elections. In 2009, the IPL was shifted to South Africa while in 2014, the first part of the mega-rich T20 league was held in the UAE.

England Squad for three Test match series against Pakistan

Nottinghamshire all-rounder Samit Patel has been included for the upcoming Test series against Pakistan starting from October 13 in the United Arab Emirates. The 30-year-old will replace uncapped Surrey all-rounder Zafar Ansari, who was unfit for the UAE test match series because of a hand injury . Patel who made his Test debut against Sri Lanka in 2012 - has scored 109 runs with four wickets in his five Test match career. Indian Premier League is in its seventh season, which every Cricket fan loves the most. The Pakistan Cricket Board have announced the schedule for its series against South Africa to be held in October 2013, that includes two Tests, five one-day international and two Twenty20 games. Aaqib Javed is the new bowling coach for Pakistan

Pakistan Cricket Board ( PCB ) has appointed former fast bowler Aaqib Javed as the bowling coach of the team just before the test series against England in UAE starts in January. Javed has been added in the nine-man support staff for the series. The former Pakistan batsman, Ijaz Ahmed , has been named as the fielding coach, while Mohsin Khan continue as the interim head coach.
