Glamorgan has secured the services of the talented 24-year-old leg-spinner Peter Hatzoglou on a short-term T20 contract.  Hatzoglou's impressive record of 42 wickets in 40 T20 matches makes him a valuable addition to the team.  Initially, the 24-year-old will be available for three matches, providing cover for fellow Australian player Michael Neser, whose absence in the Blast's opening four games is due to his commitment to the Australian training camp, where he is preparing for the upcoming World Test Championship and the Ashes series. Hatzoglou was playing for Buckhurst Hill in club cricket when Glamorgan approached him. While the Australian may not be a direct replacement for the pace-bowling allrounder Michael Neser, he has already made a name for himself in his career.  Glamorgan fans can look forward to witnessing Hatzoglou in action during the upcoming matches against Somerset on May 28, Middlesex on May 31, and Kent on June 2.

Glamorgan vice-captain David Lloyd has committed his future to the County club after signing a new two-year contract that promises to keep him at Sophia Gardens until 2023. The 28-year-old batsman has spent his entire professional career at South Wales, playing 168 matches across all formats. “I’m really happy to be signing a new deal at Glamorgan,” said the allrounder. “Being Welsh and playing for the only Welsh first-class county is something I’m very proud of, and to have been capped and captain Glamorgan was something I could only dream about. Lloyd, who made his Glamorgan debut in 2012, and has since gone on to score 4,970 runs and remains an integral part of Matthew Maynard's squad. Australian batsman Usman Khawaja has joined the Welsh county cricket side Glamorgan for the summer's Vitality T20 blast. The 31-year-old is Glamorgan's second overseas player for the English domestic T20 competition alongside fellow countryman Shaun Marsh, who will be available to play for the entire season. Khawaja will be available for all 14 group fixtures in the competition. “I’m delighted to have signed for Glamorgan for their Vitality Blast campaign and look forward to the challenge of helping them build on the success they achieved in last year’s competition,” the left-handers told the club’s official website . “From my point of view, it would be great to be able to take them a step further and bring silverware back to Wales.” He has played 33 Tests, 18 one-day internationals and nine T20Is since making his debut in 2011. West Indies assistant coach, Toby Radford has been named as Glamorgan's new head coach . The 41-year-old, who previously coached Middlesex , will replace Matthew Mott. The former Sussex batsman, Radford said: " It was great to see the team reaching a Lord's final at the end of the season, and I believe we have a wonderful opportunity of building on this success and developing a team of which the Welsh nation can be proud." South Africa batsman Jacques Rudolph has signed a two-year deal with County club Glamorgan . Left-handed batsman Rudolph is the one of the most experienced player in international and county cricket and he is set to replace Marcus North for 2014 and 2015 county season. The 32-year-old Rudolph spent his last season with Surrey and with Yorkshire from 2007 to 2011. Rudolph said: " I'm delighted to be joining Glamorgan on a two-year deal. I enjoyed my time playing for Yorkshire so I'm looking forward to the challenge at Glamorgan and hopefully enjoying similar success. "

New Zealand all-rounder Nathan McCullum has joined Glamorgan for English domestic Twenty20 competition. The 32-year-old off-spinner said, " I'm looking forward to joining up with the Glamorgan squad at the end of this month." "I've spent a bit of time in Cardiff over the past few weeks and have enjoyed playing at the SWALEC Stadium. "Spin bowling plays an important role in T20 cricket. "

The Australian top order batsman, Shaun Marsh have been signed by Glamorgan as their second overseas player for Friends Life t20. Marsh said, " Having played in both IPL and the Big Bash in Australia, I'm really looking forward to drawing on my experience and hitting some runs when I join up with Glamorgan. " " I played alongside Marcus at Western Australia before, so it will be great to join up with him again. Hopefully we can have a great t20 tournament and with the final of the competition in Cardiff it should be a great summer ahead.
