Gayle In: West Indies one-off T20I squad against India

West Indies selectors have announced the one-off T20 international squad against India to be played at Sabina Park. The explosive veteran batsman Chris Gayle, who hasn’t played international cricket since the World T20 final win against England in April 2016, has been named in the one-off T20 international against India on Sunday. "I want to be the first man to play till 50," the 37-year-old said. "I'd love her to see me play cricket. I want her to just turn up in the stands and watch dad play a game of cricket, I'd love her to actually witness it one day. Age is something, it's a number. BBL: Melbourne Renegades target Chris Gayle?

The Big Bash League giants Melbourne Renegades are reportedly interested in signing the West Indian superstar Chris Gayle, according to cricket.com.au . Stuart Coventry, who is the CEO of the Renegades is excited about the possibility of bringing up the 35-year-old batsman at the Etihad Stadium for next season. "At the moment, we have two international spots on our roster that we need to fill. Chris is obviously a fantastic player he's an excitement machine and he's the sort of character who the fans want to see strut his stuff," Coventry said. The left-hander  Jamaican has previously played for Sydney Thunder in the 2012-13 season, but his former franchise don’t seem to be keen in his services now. Chris Gayle rules out retirement rumours

The West Indies batsman Chris Gayle has denied the rumours of his retirement from all forms of cricket following their World Cup quarter-final loss to New Zealand by 143 runs on Saturday at Wellington. The all-rounder, who has been suffering with his back problems in recent years, the 35-year-old Jamaican insists that he has no intentions to leave the cricket. "I definitely want to play the T20 World Cup next year for West Indies, there's no doubt about that.” the left-handed batsman told ESPNCricinfo . "I've got a few concerns and a few injury [cases] to try and solve. I'll give myself some time and hopefully look back at it and see how well I can actually progress for West Indies cricket at this point in time." Gayle will not be available during the upcoming Test series against England in April as he will be in rehabilitation in the aim of regaining full fitness.

Dolphins re-sign Chris Gayle for 2013-14 domestic T20 competition

Dolphins have re-signed West Indies batsman Chris Gayle for South Africa 's T20 competition. Gayle has signed for R1 million in the 2011-12 season, but he left with an injury, not appeared in a single match. Gayle said, " I am really excited to have joined the Sunfoil Dolphins for their 2014 Ram Slam T20 campaign. I feel there's some unfinished business for me as I didn't get to play for them back in 2012 due to injury. West Indies star batsman Chris Gayle has agreed to play for Somerset in the domestic Twenty20 league if he is available. At present, Gayle plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL). " He's openly saying he would offer Somerset first refusal on his services in the shorter format, " Somerset chairman Andy Nash was quoted as saying by BBC.
