Sri Lankan top-order batsman Danushka Gunathilaka was charged over alleged sexual assault of raping a 29-year-old woman at Rose Bay in Sydney's eastern suburbs, where the woman lived.  Gunathilaka's Tinder profile included photos of his lavish lifestyle. The 31-year-old was arrested on Sunday after allegedly raping the woman after meeting her on Tinder during the T20 World Cup. 

Pakistan have announced their Test squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka. The tour will be a part of the ICC Men’s World Test Championship Cycle (WTC) 2021- 2023. The first test will be played at the Galle International Cricket Stadium from July 16 to 20, while the second Test will get underway on July 24 at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo. Yorkshire have announced the signing of Sri Lanka left-handed batsman Dimuth Karunaratne. The 33-year-old has joined the county outfit for the next three Championship matches. He will debut on Thursday against Northamptonshire at Wantage Road. The Lankan skipper will also play games against Kent at Headingley and Essex at Chelmsford. Karunaratne has scored 5,620 runs in 76 Tests for Sri Lanka. India will play three ODIs and as many T20Is series against Sri Lanka in the Island nation, starting on July 13. Due to the Covid, it is expected that the series will be without the spectators in the stadium. Also, the Indian cricketers will have to serve a seven-day quarantine period before they are allowed to practice inside the bio-secure environment. The Indian cricket team India is set to visit Sri Lanka for the limited-overs series in July. The limited-overs leg will begin on July 13. England to play two Test match series in Sri Lanka at the beginning of 2021. The series was scheduled to take place in March 2020, which was called off in wake of the COVID-19 outbreak. The two Tests match series will be held behind the closed doors, and both matches will be played at Galle International Stadium in Colombo. The Left-handed opening batsman Upul Tharanga has been named as Sri Lanka’s captain for the ODI tri-series to be held in Zimbabwe, which includes West Indies. Former Sri Lankan Test skipper Mahela Jayawardene has joined the Adelaide Strikers on a one-year deal for this year’s Big Bash League (BBL) campaign. The 38-year-old veteran, who scored 11,814 runs at an average of 49.84 in 149 Tests, will replace West Indian Kieron Pollard, who has been sidelined with a knee injury. "Mahela is a champion of the game and is without a doubt one of the greatest batsman to play cricket in the modern era," Strikers coach Jason Gillespie said .
