English county Glamorgan have signed West Indies Twenty20 skipper Darren Sammy for part of their NatWest T20 Blast campaign. The all-rounder Darren Sammy has announced his retirement from Test cricket after he was replaced as West Indies captain by wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin. The 29-year-old Ramdin would replace Sammy as captain of the Test side ahead of the home series against New Zealand , beginning on June 8 in Jamaica, the WICB confirmed on their official website . Ramdin has scored 2,235 runs in 56 Tests at an average of 27.25, along with four centuries. However, the 30-year-old Sammy, who made his debut in 2007 against England at Old Trafford will remain as West Indies Twenty20 captain and will continue to be involved in the ODIs.

Former England all-rounder Kevin Pietersen is all set to take part in the Caribbean Premier League Twenty20, takes place in July and August this year, according to reports from BBC . Pakistani all-rounder Yasir Arafat has signed Sussex for the NatWest T20 Blast tournament which is starting from mid-May until late July, www.sussexcricket.co.uk announced. Arafat has been added as an overseas player for the entire T20 Blast group campaign this season. He already played for Sussex for three times in 2006, 2009 and 2010. The 31-year-old is currently playing in Big Bash League for Perth Scorchers. In Arafat's international career, he has played only three Tests, 11 ODI's and 13 Twenty20 internationals.
