India to visit Ireland for two T20 Internationals in Malahide on June 26 and June 28. Cricket Ireland has confirmed that the Indian cricket team would be touring the country for a short two-match T20I series in June. However, the series will not have India's top players such as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant and Jasprit Bumrah. "This summer will be a 'Season of Stars' as India, New Zealand and Afghanistan tour Ireland, while we will play South Africa in Bristol. Ireland's right-handed opening batsman John Anderson has announced his retirement from international cricket at the age of 35. The South-African born batsman, who made his international debut for Ireland in 2012 - has made 26 appearances including eight in ODIs and four T20Is for the national side. He last played for his country in 2017, while his career-best performance of 127 runs against the Netherlands in an Inter-Continental Cup in 2013. The 35-year-old said , “It has been an honour and privilege to play for Ireland and it is one of the proudest achievements of my life. I am immensely proud of all my contributions to the team, especially those in the I-Cup. Former Ireland skipper Trent Johnston confirmed that he plans to retire from international cricket in December 2013. Australian born Johnston has played 186 times for Ireland, appearing in both the 2007 and 2011 World Cups. The 39-year-old, Johnston said: " It's becoming harder to recover after matches now, so much so that I can hardly walk for a couple of days. " "After a tour to the United Arab Emirates, it took me a full week to recover and my young son Charlie and daughter Claudia were having to pull on and off my socks, so that was quite embarrassing! "I knew then my time was limited and, although it would have been great to play in another World Cup in Australia, it was just beyond me. "It's time to move on to new things and gives (coach) Phil (Simmons) the chance to find somebody to replace me."

Ireland Left-handed batsman John Mooney has been included in 14-man squad to take on Pakistan in two ODIs. Though he is unavailable for the first match on May 23. William Porterfield will be the captain of the squad. Former Australian fast bowler Craig McDermott has been appointed Ireland's bowling coach for the upcoming World Twenty20 tournament. McDermott said, " I am looking forward to working with Phil [Simmons] and his team at the World T20 in Sri Lanka, They have a well balance squad and I am looking forward to getting stuck into preparing them for the World T20 in our training camp in Colombo. "

The Middlesex seamer, Tim Murtagh has been included in Ireland's 13-man squad for the one-day international against Australia in the Stormont on June 23.
