Malinga did historic hat-trick on Monday against Australia's fifth and final ODI. Malinga took the wickets of Mitchell Johnson (1), John Hastings (0) and Xavier Doherty (0) in 46th over of an innings. Malinga , did the same against kenya in march 2011 at the same stadium. He also did the hat-trick against South Africa in year 2007.

Deccan Chargers Leg-spinner Amit Mishra on IPL-4 Saturday, made the first and second hat trick in the Twenty20 league. So far six bowlers in the Indian Premier League have been able to make a hat-trick.
