BBL 2020: Teams allowed to play three foreign players

Teams in the 10th edition of the Big Bash League will be able to field up to three overseas players in their final playing XI.

The 30-year-old batsman Jason Roy became the sixth Englishman involved in the Twenty20 tournament when he signed for the three-time champions Perth Scorchers on Friday.

The BBL gets underway on 3 December.

The opening match will be played between Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Renegades.
