Hampshire: Ian Holland signs new contract until 2022

Hampshire allrounder Ian Holland has signed a new contract that will keep him at The Ageas Bowl until at least the end of next season. The USA international moved to The Ageas Bowl in 2017 from Victoria and has since gone on to score 1,146 runs and claim 63 wickets across all three formats. Hashim Amla joins Hampshire

Hampshire have announced the signing of South Africa batsman Hashim Amla as an overseas player for the first three months of the English County season. The 34-year-old, who has had several previous county stints with Essex, Nottinghamshire, Surrey and Derbyshire, and will be available for the County Championship and the One-Day competition. The prolific Proteas star will join compatriots Kyle Abbott and Rilee Rossouw before returning to country's duty for their Test series against Sri Lanka in July. Hampshire’s Director of Cricket Giles White, said : ‘Hashim is an exciting acquisition for us and we feel he’ll be an excellent fit within the group we’ve got, both on and off the pitch. ‘He will add strength and depth to our batting for the first three months of the season when runs on the board are important. Hopefully, this will help us achieve that consistently in both the four-day and 50-over competitions.’ Amla has scored more than 16,000 runs at an average of 49.61 ...

Hampshire sign Kyle Abbott for 2014 season

Hampshire have completed the signing of South African bowler Kyle Abbott for the 2014 entire season. The 26-year-old, who has played only four matches for his country across all formats and will join the county side against Gloucestershire on April 13. "To have a bowler of Kyle's quality available for the entire 2014 campaign is a huge boost to the squad," Hampshire director of cricket Giles White said. "He comes highly recommended both as a player and a person and we look forward to him joining up with the squad in April." Abbott has sensational first-class record in which he too 165 wickets at 21.92. 

England's T20 squad against Australia

Hampshire left-handed opening batsman, Michael Carberry has been added to the England's T20 squad to play Australia on August 29 and 31. Sohail Tanvir joins Hampshire for T20

The Pakistan allrounder, Sohail Tanvir is set to join Hampshire from May 23 until the end of the group matches of the Friends Life t20 . Tanvir will join Australia's George Bailey as a second overseas player. Tanvir, 28, was in the 30-man preliminarily squad for the Champions Trophy 2013 but failed to get a place in the final 15 member squad. Umran Khan, Tanvir's agent said, " Tanvir will be playing for Hampshire until the end of the T20 competition, It's a full contract with an understanding to play from May 23 that includes all the formats. He has already applied for a visa. " " Initially I am looking at the end of the T20 group stage ," Tanvir said. " But I can miss the two three matches of Sri Lanka League to extend my stay for Hants ."

Saeed Ajmal signs Hampshire

The Pakistan spin bowler, Saeed Ajmal has signed Hampshire for the later stages of the 2013 county cricket . Ajmal will join Hampshire in the mid of August and September. Giles White, The Hampshire's manager, said, " As things stand, it is possible that both George and Danny could be involved in the ODI series between England and Australia so the availability of Saeed for August and September is a great fit. " In 23 Tests for pakistan, Ajmal has taken 122 wickets at an average of 27.09

Phillip Hughes will join Worcestershire

Australian left-hander batsman, Phillip Hughes will join Worcestershire in June 2012 in county cricket . Hughes has had played with Middlesex in 2009 and Hampshire in 2010. Hughes said " I'm absolutely thrilled to be heading back to England, Worcestershire is a quality organisation and I can't wait to meet my new team-mates and re-acquaint myself with English conditions. My previous stint in England helped my batting enormously and I have high expectations that spending the 2012 Australian winter in the UK will do the same. "
