Adam Gilchrist , the captain of Kings XI Punjab has announced his retirement from the Indian Premier League (IPL) after playing his final game against Mumbai Indians at Dharamsala. " This definitely is my last game, " Gilchrist said at the toss. The former Australian wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist is the second international franchise player, after Ricky Ponting , to play with the newly formed Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Gilchrist said, " The CPL will feature some of the world's best cricketers, and I can't wait to test my skills and play in what is going to be a dynamic and exciting competition, I have fond memories of playing cricket in the Caribbean. Plus, I love playing the Twenty20 format, and there is absolutely no better place anywhere to do this than the West Indies. " The CPL will begin on July 29, and conclude on August 26.
