Shaun Tait, Australian fast bowler will play for Dolphins , the Durban based franchise in Pro20 domestic Twenty20 competition. The 28-year-old, Tait retired from Tests and ODIs, but he represented in IPL for Rajasthan Royals. Tait said " Having played last year in Durban during the Champions Trophy, I know that I am really looking forward to getting back and bowling at a ground that definitely suits me ". " I am genuinely excited to be given this opportunity and am looking forward to playing my part with the Dolphins in seeing them taste success ". Jesse Chellan , The CEO of Kwa-Zulu Natal Cricket Union (KZNCU) and Dolphins is quite delighted to have Shaun for the Pro20 competition. Tait also has a contract in KFC T20 Big Bash League for the Melbourne Renegades.

Australian bowler Shaun Tait  has bowled the fastest ball in the history of Indian Premier League  and put his name on a double achievement. During Delhi Daredevils innings against Rajasthan Royals,  Tait put the fifth ball with a speed of 157.3 km per hour. It is believed that the ball is the fastest on earth. Official statistics recognize that Pakistan's Shoaib Akhtar put a speed of 161.3 km per hour against England in 2003. However it is believed that the Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Sami bowled speed of 164 km per hour during the a one-day match against India. Last year, Tait put the speed of 161.1 km per hour against England.
