Tim Southee joins Middlesex for NatWest T20 Blast

New Zealand seamer Tim Southee has joined Middlesex for the English county's Twenty20 Blast campaign. The 28-year-old, who is currently representing Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League, will be available in early July and is scheduled to be played for 13 of their 14 group matches, also the knockout stages if required. He previously represented Essex in 2011, when he claimed 22 wickets during the Friends Life t20. Overall, the right-arm fast bowler has taken 139 T20 wickets with an economy of 8.26. "Tim is one of the leading fast bowlers in the world. He has plenty of experience in T20 cricket and looks to bowl in the periods where we feel we could be better,” Middlesex managing director Angus Fraser said. Southee has played 57 Tests, 116 ODIs and 39 Twenty20 internationals.

Zimbabwe to tour Netherlands in June 2017

Zimbabwe to tour Netherlands to play three ODI matches, that are scheduled to be played on June 20, 22 and 24.   "We are pleased to confirm Zimbabwe will be touring the Netherlands as part of a potentially exciting and competitive five-game programme that will also see us visiting Scotland for two of the matches," ZC managing director Wilfred Mukondiwa said.  "While the tour will give our boys the much-needed game time and a feel of unfamiliar conditions, it will also go a long way in preparing our team for the tougher series away to Sri Lanka." Both nations have played each other on two occasions in ODIs or T20Is. Zimbabwe are currently sit 11th in the ODI rankings table, one place ahead of Ireland.
