India’s out-of-favour fast bowler Zaheer Khan has announced his retirement from an international cricket, according to the Indian Premier League chairman Rajeev Shukla. Shukla took to twitter to reveal Zaheer's plans to retire. Zaheer made his Test debut against Bangladesh in 2000 and has claimed 311 wickets in 92 Tests, 282 wickets in 200 ODIs and 17 wickets in 17 Twenty20 games.

Indian fast bowler Zaheer Khan has been struggling with his latest injury - a side strain, due to which he wasn’t able to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) last season as well as India’s current tour of England. Indian pacer Zaheer Khan is heading to Cape Town to work with former India coach Gary Kirsten to improve his cricketing skills in his quest to return to international cricket.
