Pakistan Cricket Board have announced their T20I tri-series schedule, starting on 7 October against Bangladesh and New Zealand on the following day. The number-three ranked Pakistan will travel to New Zealand from 7-14 October as part of their ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Australia 2022 preparations. In the second round of matches, Babar Azam's side will play Black Caps and Bangladesh on 11 and 13 October, with the final scheduled for 14 October. Bangladesh will tour West Indies for two Tests, three T20Is, and as many ODIs in June-July.  Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have announced the squads for the multi-format tour of the Caribbean island starting June 16. The 26-year-old seamer Mustafizur Rahman is all set to make his return to test cricket as he was included in the squad. The first international test match of 2022 may be headed towards a historic finish as play ended on Day 4. Sri Lanka Cricket have announced their 18-man Test squad for the upcoming home series against Bangladesh. The Test series is slated to begin on April 21 in Pallekele. The 33-year-old Angelo Mathews has made a come back to the Test team. He had pulled out during the ODI series in the West Indies, citing personal reasons. Bangladesh Cricket Board have announced the 24-man preliminary squad for the forthcoming ODI series against West Indies. Former skipper Mashrafe Mortaza, who made his ODI debut back in 2001, has been dropped from the ODI squad. As a result of the coronavirus pandemic - New Zealand tour of Bangladesh has been postponed on Tuesday. Black Caps were slated to play two Tests in August-September this year as part of the ICC World Test Championship. Three Bangladeshi players, including Nazmul Islam, Nafees Iqbal and the former ODI skipper Mashrafe Mortaza, have tested positive for the deadly contagion. “In the present COVID-19 pandemic scenario, hosting a full cricket series in August 2020 will be a challenge in terms of preparations,” BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury said in a statement. “Under these circumstances, the BCB and NZC (New Zealand Cricket) have felt that the best way forward would be to defer the series,” he added. The governing bodies from both sides were working on a new schedule for the Test series. Bangladesh has so far reported more than 100k coronavirus cases with over 1,500 mortality.

Former New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori and former South African seamer Charl Langeveldt had been appointed team's full-time bowling consultants, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have announced on Saturday. The former left-arm spinner Vettori's contract is valid until next year's Twenty20 World Cup in Australia and he will be available to the team for around 100 days during their preparation. The 40-year-old has held several high-profile head coaching roles in T20 format, including Indian Premier League side Royal Challengers Bangalore and Big Bash League's side Brisbane Heat. On the other hand, Langeveldt will join as team's full-time pace bowling coach.

Australian pacer James Pattinson has been ruled out of the tour with inflammation in his back for their upcoming Test tour of Bangladesh. The Victorian fast bowler last played for the Aussies in February 2016. The wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler is reportedly set to lead the England's one-day international team for the upcoming tour of Bangladesh, with Eoin Morgan expected to withdraw from the tour for security reasons. India will host their neighbour country Bangladesh for a one-off Test match in February next year, marking the Tigers’s first official Test trip since 2000. It has been confirmed - the next year’s Asia Cup will be scheduled in Bangladesh for the third consecutive time.  The T20 format tournament will feature India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and an associate nation, starting on February 24 and the final match to be held on March 6. "Pakistan raised the point that Bangladesh should host next year's Asia Cup and everyone agreed," BCB president Nazmul Hassan told reporters in Dhaka on Wednesday.  "Four Test nations will get direct entry while one Associate nation will come through the qualifying tournament. West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has made a comeback as a skipper in the One Day International series against Bangladesh, later this month. Bangladesh Cricket Board have announced Sarwar Imran as the team's new assistant coach for the three-match ODI series against India next month on June 15. " We have appointed Imran bhai as assistant coach for the upcoming India series, " BCB chairman Akram Khan told ESPNcricinfo . " Since Hathurusingha arrives on June 10, Imran bhai will begin the training from Monday. He has been Bangladesh's coach previously. He will be with the team till the India series, and then we will take it from there. " Imran, who was the former head coach of the national side in 2000 and is thought to be a highly-regarded figure in Bangladesh cricket.
