Big Bash League: Dilbar Hussain joins Melbourne Stars

Melbourne Stars have announced the signing of fast bowler Dilbar Hussain for the 10th edition of the Big Bash League. The 27-year-old, who hails from Pakistan, will be available for the entire campaign, starting on 10 December. Hussain played for the Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League alongside Stars wicket-keeper batsman Ben Dunk. “I’m very happy to be coming back to the Melbourne Stars for the Big Bash,” Hussain said . “In the short time I was with the club last season I learnt so much. I’d like to thank David Hussey who was incredibly supportive and encouraged me to keep working on my craft.” Hussain is currently completing the mandatory two weeks quarantine in West Australia and will be available for the Stars' on December 11 in Canberra. BBL: Melbourne Stars snap up Billy Stanlake from Adelaide Strikers

Melbourne Stars have announced the signing of Billy Stanlake from Adelaide Strikers ahead of the 10the edition of the Big Bash League (BBL).  The 25-year-old seamer took 34 wickets in 39 BBL matches so far in the competition.  He has been part of Australia’s ODI and T20 international squads in recent years and is currently in the United Arab of Emirates (UAE) with his Indian Premier League outfit SunRisers Hyderabad. The Australia international has a contract at the Melbourne Stars until the end of the BBL|12 season. 🚨 Confirmed Trade! Shane Warne retires from Big Bash League

Former Australian spin legend Shane Warne has ended his competitive cricket career by announcing his retirement from the Big Bash Twenty20 League , citing business, family and commentary commitments across two continents. " I think the time is right for me to hang up my Big Bash boots - juggling business, family and commentary commitments across two continents is not easy, " Warne said. "I've always loved the game but now it's time to observe. It's going to be a huge summer for Australian cricket. I'm really looking forward to it and will be closely following the Melbourne Stars," he added. The 43-year-old, who quit Test cricket in 2007. In his IPL stint, He captained the Rajasthan Royals in the inaugural Indian Premier League in 2008. Mitchell Johnson out for six months

Australian fast bowler, Mitchell Johnson has been ruled out of all formats of cricket for five to six months due to undergoing surgery of his left foot on the toe at Melbourne . Doctor Trefor James of Cricket Australia said, " I would expect Mitchell to be able to return to cricket in five to six months. "
