Warwickshire have announced the signing of West Indies fast bowler Chemar Holder for the rest of the County Championship season. The 23-year-old is likely to make his debut at Lancashire on 30 August. The Barbados pacer became the third West Indies international the Bears have signed this summer after Carlos Brathwaite and Kyle Mayers. Warwickshire seamer Craig Miles has signed a two-year contract extension to keep him at Edgbaston until at least the end of the 2023 season. The 26-year-old has claimed 31 wickets in 11 first-class matches since joining the Bears in 2019. He scored 61 runs and took 10 wickets at an average of 25.5 in three appearances during the LV= Insurance County Championship this season. Miles made his first-class debut for Gloucestershire in 2011 and has since gone on to claim 286 wickets, with a further 69 wickets in white-ball cricket. Warwickshire have confirmed England Under-19s batsman Dan Mousley has penned a new three-year contract until 2023. The 19-year-old, who made his County Championship debut for the Bears in July 2019, is now tied to Edgbaston until at least the end of 2023. "Dan is one of the most exciting young batsmen in the county game," said Bears director of cricket Paul Farbrace. "He broke through to the senior ranks in both formats last season and made a notable contribution in each fixture. "He now has a great opportunity to firmly establish himself across all three formats and become a mainstay of this Warwickshire team for many years." Former England all-rounder Tim Bresnan has signed a two-year deal with the Warwickshire County Cricket Club that will keep him at Edgbaston until the end of the 2022 season. Bresnan, 35, enjoyed a 19-year career at Yorkshire and helped the White Rose that won back-to-back County Championships in the 2014 and 2015 seasons. Malik has played 55 T20 internationals, 216 ODI's and 32 Tests for his county.

Alan Richardson has been named as Warwickshire bowling coach after following his retirement. He will replaces Graeme Welch, reports The Telegraph . Richardson, 38, had played for Derbyshire, Warwickshire, Middlesex and Worcestershire. He made his County Championship debut in 1999, for Warwickshire " I have been working on my coaching qualifications for some time and, whilst I had planned to have one more season as a player with Worcestershire, this is a fantastic opportunity for me in this next stage of my career with Warwickshire, " Richardson said.

Chris Wright , the Warwickshire Right-arm fast-medium bowler has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to a stress fracture of his back. The 27-year-old, Wright has confirmed the diagnosis over Twitter: " Good luck 2 @CricketingBears 2day & 4 rest of season. Bad news will miss it due 2a stress fracture but will return stronger & better! " During this season, Warwickshire's bowling attack has been badly hit by injuries. They are currently sixth in the point table, 50 points behind leaders Sussex , with seven matches remaining.
