Channel 9 broadcasters and developers of the real-time Snickometer have announced to include the technology in the Decision Review System tools for umpires during the Ashes series, starting on November 21 at The Gabba, Brisbane. The last Ashes series in England was in controversy by poor umpiring decisions, both on the field and on review by TV umpires. Channel 9 executive producer of cricket Brad McNamara stated that using Snicko as part of the DRS should enhance the TV coverage and helps in accurate umpiring decisions. 2013–14 Ashes Series Schedule First Test:  21–25 November. The (DRS) Decision Review System came under the controversies during the recent Ashes series in England . This time Channel Nine the broadcasters have chosen to avoid Hot Spot technology. However in case of a review, decisions will now be subject to analysis by the 'Eagle Eye' ball-tracker, stump microphones and slow-motion replays. Warren Brennan, the inventor of Hot Spot told the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper, "It's their decision and that's what has been communicated to us. As far as I'm concerned, it is final, We're just moving on with things. Channel Nine have got a new deal with Cricket Australia, which I know has cost them a lot more money. "

Cricket Australia called on the ICC to clarify why Usman Khawaja was given out on first day of third Ashes Test. Pakistan Cricket Board ( PCB ) once again supported the use of the review system ( UDRS ). Announced that the UDRS will be used in ODI and test series against England in next month. Pakistan to play three test and ODI series against England in UAE starting from 17th Jan.

According to a Bangladesh Cricket Board, The Decision Review System (DRS) is not going to be used for the upcoming series between B angladesh-West Indies . There will be two Tests, three ODIs and a Twenty20 match starting from Oct 11, 2011

London, Friday, 10 June 2011 UDRS Will Be Mandatory In India Vs England Series BCCI once again not in the favor of the use of UDRS in the upcoming four-Test series between England and India. According to ' Daily Telegraph ', Indian Cricket Board has informed England and Wales Cricket Board that not use of UDRS in Series.The system must allow for the use of both boards. Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendra Singh Dhoni top Indian players opposed UDRS openly, whereas the England players has support it. Former England off-spinner John Emburey said the reason India does not want the UDRS is that it will favour our bowlers.He said "The DRS helps the spinners".The system is to know whether the ball seems to stump and becomes umpire's decision easier. The first Test match of this Test series will be played on July 21st at Lords.

Umpire's Decision Review System (UDRS) will not be a part of the upcoming series between India and West Indies. WICB spokesman said UDRS will not be used in T20, five ODI and three test match series between India-West Indies upcoming series. Recently,When Pakistan toured the West Indies, the UDRS was the part of that series.
