Leicestershire snap up Australian batsman Peter Handscomb

Australian middle-order batsman Peter Handscomb has signed with the English county team Leicestershire for the first two months of their upcoming campaign.  The 31-year-old Victorian batsman has scored 145 runs at an average of 29 during the recent Indian series. He will be standing in for Indian batsman Ajinkya Rahane, who will not be available due to his commitment to the 16th edition of Indian Premier League with the Chennai Super Kings.  Handscomb is well-acquainted with English conditions, having previously played for several English county teams such as Durham, Gloucestershire, Middlesex, and Yorkshire.

Leicestershire sign NZ’s Luke Ronchi

Leicestershire have signed New Zealand wicketkeeper-batsman Luke Ronchi as a replacement overseas player for Sharjeel Khan, who was charged with corruption by the PCB. Ronchi, who has previously enjoyed spells with both county Warwickshire and Somerset, will instead join as the Foxes second overseas player for this season's Natwest T20. The 35-year-old explosive batsman, who has a strike rate of 141.89 in 114 T20 matches, is likely to be available in all 14 group games. "I am delighted to have signed with Leicestershire Foxes for the NatWest T20 Blast. I love playing county cricket and can't wait to get started with my new teammates," said the New Zealander. Ronchi has represented his nation in only four Tests and 71 ODI’s and 32 T20 internationals, and is looking forward to getting to work with English county.

Leicestershire sign Dan Redfern

The Left-handed batsman Dan Redfern has signed a two-year contract with Leicestershire . The former Derbyshire batsman is the youngest batsman ever to play List A limited overs cricket. He averages 29.47, in 70 first-class matches. The 23-year-old said: " I am grateful to Phil Whitticase and his staff for this opportunity and look forward to the challenge ahead."

Robbie Williams joins Leicestershire

Middlesex right-arm seamer Robbie Williams joins Leicestershire on a one-year deal. The 25-year-old Williams, has played only nine first-class matches since 2009, with 23 first-class wickets at 32.82 Leicestershire chief executive, Mike Siddall , said: " Robbie impressed whilst playing for the second XI. He adds to the selection opportunities within the seam bowlers and we hope that he will make his mark at Grace Road. "

Abdul Razzaq signed Leicestershire in English county

Pakistan's all-rounder Abdul Razzaq will play in English county for Leicestershire at this season. Razzaq will join Leicestershire in next week for the English Twenty20 championship. Razzaq said, " It is disappointing that I am constantly being ignored by the selectors and the Board. No one has called me for any fitness tests or nets. " So far, Razzaq has played 46 Tests and 265 ODIs games besides 26 Twenty20 matches.
