English county Glamorgan have signed West Indies Twenty20 skipper Darren Sammy for part of their NatWest T20 Blast campaign. The all-rounder Darren Sammy has announced his retirement from Test cricket after he was replaced as West Indies captain by wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin. The 29-year-old Ramdin would replace Sammy as captain of the Test side ahead of the home series against New Zealand , beginning on June 8 in Jamaica, the WICB confirmed on their official website . Ramdin has scored 2,235 runs in 56 Tests at an average of 27.25, along with four centuries. However, the 30-year-old Sammy, who made his debut in 2007 against England at Old Trafford will remain as West Indies Twenty20 captain and will continue to be involved in the ODIs.

West Indies captain Darren Sammy said He is confident of victory against India in the series that will start in next month. Two-match Test series against Pakistan 1-1 to the West Indies team is now focusing on series against India.Sammy said his team is quite young compared to India, yet he is confident of victory. India's first match against West Indies Twenty20 will be played in Trinidad on June 4. Sammy said, "It will be a hard series against India.
