Twitter Reacts: Harry Gurney to miss T20 Blast and IPL 2020

Nottinghamshire left-arm seamer Harry Gurney has been out of action in this year’s T20 Vitality Blast with a shoulder injury. The England international, who has become a regular on the T20 circuit in recent years, will go under the knife next month to get the problem rectified. The 33-years-old, who also has an IPL contract with the Kolkata Knight Riders this season, has claimed 115 wickets for the Notts, including 22 in 2019. First ever Test: Australia vs Afghanistan in December 2020

Afghanistan is all set for their first-ever Test match in Australia later this year in December.  It will be Australia’s first international assignment of the summer after the World T20 was rescheduled due to the pandemic. The one-off Test match against Australia is slated to begin on December 7 at the new Perth stadium. However, it will not be a part of the ICC World Test Championship, as the league is restricted to the top nine nations.

New Zealand to host West Indies, Pakistan, Australia and Bangladesh this summer

New Zealand Cricket has confirmed a full programme of international cricket tour, with 37 days of international cricket scheduled this summer. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic - West Indies, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Australia will tour to New Zealand as per the current (FTP) Future Tours Programme. "We are making tremendous progress. I was just on the phone to the West Indies, they're confirmed, Pakistan is confirmed, Australia and Bangladesh... so 37 days of international cricket," David White, the NZC CEO, told reporters in Auckland. "The White Ferns will tour Australia in September and then the Australia Women's team will tour New Zealand in February.
