The county club Surrey have announced the signing of Sri Lankan wicket-keeper batsman Kumar Sangakkara for the 2015 campaign. Sri Lanka batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan has joined English county Surrey as their overseas player. The 37-year-old, who is retired from Test cricket last year , will replace South Africa skipper Hashim Amla and will be available against Hampshire on June 27 in the Twenty20 Blast tournament. " It's a fantastic opportunity for me. They are one of the most historic clubs in the world and I very much hope to make a big impact whilst there, " Dilshan told the club website . South African Graham Ford has signed a three-year deal  as a new head coach of Surrey , the English county side. He will join the club in February when his contract with the Sri Lanka team ends. The 52-year-old will replace Chris Adams and said, " I am delighted to once again be involved in the English cricketing system." "I have, for a long while, been an admirer of Surrey CCC and see it as a great privilege to be actively involved in such a fine club.  "I look forward to the exciting times ahead!" Ford will work along with board member Alec Stewart.

Surrey have announced the signing of the South Africa batsman Hashim Amla for the final six championship games. Amla to replace his national team-mate JP Duminy, who will be play in the Champions League T20 to be held in India during September. " The Oval holds a lot of fond memories for me personally, " said Amla, " I look forward to returning there this year and hopefully enjoying similar success. " The 30-year-old Amla is became the fourth South African to be linked with Surrey in this year. " The dressing room was very, very happy, " Stewart said " We've had two high-class batters already in Smith and in Ponting and now we've got a third one. But we can't just rely on the one man, we've got to make sure the whole team performs so that we get some wins on the board . " Amla will make his debut with Surrey on August 22 against Durham at Chester-le-Street.

English county side Surrey have signed Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell for domestic Twenty20 championship. The 24-year-old was a member of the Hampshire squad in last year English Twenty20 competition. Maxwell, has played nine Twenty20 internationals for australia. He also played for Melbourne Renegades and Melbourne Stars in Big Bash Twenty20 League and for the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League . " Glenn is one of the most exciting T20 players in the world and we are looking forward to him joining our squad for this year's competition, " said Surrey team director Chris Adams.

Chris Tremlett has signed a one-year deal with Surrey after lossing ECB central contract. Tremlett told " I've signed the new contract at the end of the season and I'm absolutely delighted to stay at Surrey for another year. "

Surrey's Tom Maynard , England's most promising batsmen, died at the age of 23 after being hit by a London Underground train in the early hours of Monday morning. A BTP spokesman said: " BTP officers were called to the line near Wimbledon Park London Underground station on Monday, 18 June after a man was struck by a District line train. " He began his career with Glamorgan at the start of last season.

Australian right-arm fast-medium bowler Peter Siddle has signed with Essex in English county for the upcoming summer Twenty-20 campaign. Siddle will join the squad for the opening game on June 13 against Surrey Lions. Essex head coach Paul Grayson said, " We are delighted to have signed Australia's premier bowler in Test cricket. "

Australian fast bowler Dirk Nannes will return to Surrey at this season. Nannes will join Murali Kartik at The Oval. Surrey director Chris Adam s said " As we saw last season in the shortest form of the game, Dirk is still one of the most consistently dangerous and economical bowlers on the world scene, He did a fantastic job for us and I can speak for the whole club when I say we are delighted to welcome him back for another spell. "

Indian left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha to play for English county Surrey to gain experience in the lean domestic season. Ojha has been granted permission by the BCCI to play for English county Surrey and his debut for Surrey against Northamptonshire on 15 August. Ojha said " With not much cricket around for me at the moment, I thought it would be best if I could utilise the time by playing some county cricket in England.It will be a huge challenge for me to play on pitches in England that are not spinner-friendly. I am really looking forward to gaining experience in those conditions " In England Ojha has represented India in the World Twenty20 in 2009.
