South African pacer Vernon Philander penalised for tampering with the ball

South Africa seamer Vernon Philander has been fined 75% of his match fees for tampering with the ball during the first Test against Sri Lanka at Galle. The 29-year-old was charged after the footage emerged of him - trying to change the condition of the ball by scratching the surface with his finger and thumb in the course of the third day's play on Friday.  Philander accepted the punishment without contesting. An ICC statement read: " Philander was charged with an article 2.2.9 offence of the ICC Code of Conduct which relates to 'changing the condition of the ball in breach of Law 42.3 of the Laws of Cricket’ . "The charge was laid following the conclusion of Friday's play and after viewing television footage by on-field umpires Billy Bowden and Richard Kettleborough, third umpire Nigel Llong, all from the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Umpires, fourth umpire Ruchira Palliyaguruge as well as match referee Jeff Crowe." Umar Akmal fined 50 percent of match fee

Pakistani cricketer Umar Akmal has been fined for ignoring both on-field umpires. He has been fined 50 percent of his match fee during World T20 2012 semi-final against Sri Lanka in Colombo. The both umpires were Simon Taufel and Rod Tucker. The match referee, Jeff Crowe said: " In this incident, Umar showed blatant disregard to both the umpires' requests, which was offensive and unacceptable from an international cricketer and contrary to our unique spirit, hence a level two charge was laid." "Respect for the umpires is integral and is something which we always emphasise and encourage," Crowe said. "Umar, when pleading guilty, apologised and regretted his action. " It was happened in the second innings of the 17th over when Akmal was at the non-striker's end.

Gautam Gambhir fined USD 20,000

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper Gautam Gambhir has been fined in IPL Tournament for slow over rate during the match against Delhi Daredevils in Delhi. Gambhir said, " I think aggressive cricket is very important. More so, we have such aggressive batsmen. It is  the responsibility of batsmen like me, Brendon McCullum  or Yusuf  Pathan to bat aggressively and do the scoring.  It is our natural style. ”

Sourav Ganguly fined 20000 USD for slow over rate

Captain of Pune Warriors India , Sourav Ganguly has been fined 20000 USD for a slow over rate match against Deccan Chargers. PWI (Pune Warriors India) lost their match by 13 runs against  Deccan Chargers .

Dilshan fined for appealing repeatedly

Tillakaratne Dilshan fined 10 per cent of his match fee for breaching the ICC code of conduct by appealing repeatedly and celebrating excessively a dismissal in the second Test against England in Colombo. " Tillakaratne Dilshan has been fined 10 per cent of his match fee after being found guilty of breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during the second Test between his side and England at the P Sara Oval, Colombo on Thursday, " the ICC said in a statement.

Tim Bresnan fined for his behavior

England fast bowler Tim Bresnan has been fined 7.5% match fees of the third ODI against India on Thursday due to the complications with umpire during the match. This event took place in 18th over during Indian innings after completing his fifth over, bresnan snatched his cap from  the hands of the umpire Sudhir asnani .

Sachin Tendulkar has paid a fine of Rs 4.35 lakh

Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar has paid a fine of Rs 4.35 lakhs to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to achieve the occupation certificate for his five-storey bungalow at Bandra (West). Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official said on Thursday that “ We have received all the required no-objection certificates from Tendulkar, who also paid the fine. So, the OC has issued to his new bungalow ."
