Pakistan to tour Sri Lanka in June 2012 Schedule

Pakistan will play three Tests, five one-day internationals and two Twenty20 games against Sri Lanka. Mitchell Johnson ruled out of IPL 2012

The Australian allrounder, Mitchell Johnson has been ruled out of IPL 2012 as he has not yet recovered from his big toe surgery. In the February player auction, Mumbai Indians bought him by $300,000. Earlier at this month, Durham signed Johnson for the 2012 Friends Life t20 competition.

West Indies Squad For England tour

Wicket-keeper Denesh Ramdin and batsman Marlon Samuels has been included for the three-Test tour of England starting from next month. West Indies squad for England tour : Darren Sammy (captain), Adrian Barath, Kirk Edwards (vice-captain), Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Darren Bravo, Fidel Edwards, Narsingh Deonarine, Kieran Powell, Assad Fudadin, Kemar Roach, Shannon Gabriel, Ravi Rampaul, Denesh Ramdin, Marlon Samuels and Shane Shillingford.  

Misbah wants to captain in all three formats

Misbah-ul-Haq , Pakistan skipper has said that he has no intentions of stepping down as captaincy and he wants to lead the team in every formats of the game, including the Twenty20 World Cup in Sri Lanka later on this year. Misbah said, " I don't want to confine myself to only playing Test matches. I know I am good enough for all three formats and I am looking forward to leading Pakistan in Twenty20 World Cup. " Misbah comments over IPL , " It is a big event and there is quality cricket being played in the IPL. Every player wants to be part of the IPL. Unfortunately we are not part of it but that is not our fault and neither can we do anything about it. But definitely we would love the opportunity to play in the IPL and show our calibre to the world. "

Abdul Razzaq signed Leicestershire in English county

Pakistan's all-rounder Abdul Razzaq will play in English county for Leicestershire at this season. Razzaq will join Leicestershire in next week for the English Twenty20 championship. Razzaq said, " It is disappointing that I am constantly being ignored by the selectors and the Board. No one has called me for any fitness tests or nets. " So far, Razzaq has played 46 Tests and 265 ODIs games besides 26 Twenty20 matches.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul joins 10,000 club

West indies batsman, Shivnarine Chanderpaul has become the 10th batsman to pass 10,000 runs in Test matches. He reached the milestone on the third Test against Australia in Dominica at Windsor Park.

Michael Dighton resigns as Canada's coach

Canada's coach, Michael Dighton has resigned after being a wonderful tenure for eight months. Vimal Hardat , The Vice president of Cricket Canada said " He was disappointed to lose a coach with the calibre of Dighton and thank him for his contribution to Cricket Canada. We wish him all the best in the future. "

Ricky Ponting will not quit Test cricket yet

Former Australia captain Ricky Ponting has no intention of ending his Test career and he is looking forward to taking on South Africa later in this year. Ponting stated that his “ love for the game and passion and desire to play and be successful hasn't changed. I've still got a few things I want to achieve and a few games of cricket I want to be a part of and win for Australia. As long as I feel I can play a role winning games of cricket for Australia I'll continue to do it. I'm enjoying it as much as ever and probably working harder than ever on my game. ”

Trescothick out for at least six weeks

The Somerset captain, Marcus Trescothick , will out for a minimum of six or seven weeks from cricket due to the injury he sustained match against Nottinghamshire in the County Championship. Trescothick will undergo surgery of his right ankle. In the absence of Marcus Trescothick, James Hildreth will captain Somerset.

Junaid return to Lancashire for Friends Life T20

Pakistan's left-arm fast bowler, Junaid Khan has received a no-objection certificate from PCB, and made a return to Lancashire for Friends Life t20. The PCB has given NOC to the bowler just for the Friends Life Twenty20 tournament. The Lancashire head coach, Peter Moores said, " Junaid showed last season his ability to win a game from almost any situation. His strength at bowling in Powerplays and at the end of the innings in one-day cricket adds another dimension to the squad and it will be great to have him back. "

Essex sign James Franklin for Friends Life t20

Essex have signed their second overseas player the New Zealand allrounder, James Franklin for the Friends Life t20. Franklin is currently playing for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League and was also part of the Adelaide Strikers in Big Bash League. The coach of Essex, Paul Grayson said: " We are delighted to welcome James to the club. He obviously has huge county experience having played here a few seasons. He has shown his ability in the 20-over format of the game with his outstanding IPL record. He is a genuine allrounder in this format and adds further quality to the talented and strong squad. "

Ajmal ruled out of Worcestershire

Saeed Ajmal from pakistan will not be able to Worcestershire for the Friends Life T20 due to the commitments with Pakistan, Worcestershire have confirmed. Last year, Ajmal played for Worcestershire and he claimed 16 wickets in just eight games. Steve Rhodes director of Worcestershire's cricket, said: " Losing a player of Saeed's quality is a big disappointment, however, we are extremely active in finding a replacement for the t20. "

Stuart Law resigns as Bangladesh coach

Stuart Law , Bangladesh national team coach has resigned from the post of coach due to his family reasons. Law said that he is quitting his job because his family is moving to Australia from the UK and he added that his resignation will be effective from June 30, 2012.

Kings XI Punjab signed two players

Kings XI Punjab have included Kyle Abbott (South Africa) and Ben Cutting (Australia) to the squad for the fifth season of the IPL, as replacements for the injured duo of Stuart Broad and R Sathish . Joe Dawes , Kings XI's bowling coach said " I am excited about Kyle and Ben being a part of our squad. Both these seamers are young and talented and have the right spirit to lead the team to great heights. "

West Indies 2nd Test squad against Australia

Shane Shillingford , has been called into the West Indies test squad against Australia. Australia won first Test by three wickets in Barbados. The second Test will start on Sunday at Queen's Park Oval and the final Test match will be played in Dominica from April 23. New Zealand Tour West Indies, T20 in Florida

Later this year, New Zealand and the West Indies will play two Twenty20 internationals against each other in Florida. Both match will be played about 50km from Miami at Lauderhill on June 30 and July 1. After that, New Zealand will play two Tests and five ODI's in July and August. India to host Bangladesh this year

The Bangladesh Cricket Board said " India has assured and will host a full tour for the first time this year " Since 2000, after gaining status in tests, India never invited Bangladesh for series.

Virat Kohli is the brand ambassador of Toyota

Toyota Kirloskar Motor signed up Indian batsman Virat Kohli as its brand ambassador to endorse its passenger car models. The Delhi-born Kohli was excited to be a part of Toyota's.

Dilshan fined for appealing repeatedly

Tillakaratne Dilshan fined 10 per cent of his match fee for breaching the ICC code of conduct by appealing repeatedly and celebrating excessively a dismissal in the second Test against England in Colombo. " Tillakaratne Dilshan has been fined 10 per cent of his match fee after being found guilty of breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during the second Test between his side and England at the P Sara Oval, Colombo on Thursday, " the ICC said in a statement.

NZ Cricket signs eight year broadcast deal

New Zealand Cricket has signed eight-year broadcasting deal with media rights group Pitch International will underpin its future financial security.

Mitchell Johnson to play for Durham

Australia fast bowler Mitchell Johnson will play for Durham in English cricket's domestic Twenty20 competition in this season. Johnson said in Durham's official website " I've heard brilliant things about Durham from Paul Collingwood  when he played over in Perth and I'm really excited about joining up with the squad. " Chief Executive of Durham, David Harker said: " Mitchell is an excellent addition to our squad and he will certainly be a force to be reckoned with.  " One of our ambitions for 2012 is to get to t20 Finals Day and we have made the investment to bring in players that we feel will enhance our already talented squad to help us achieve that.  "It'll be great for us to welcome Mitchell to the set-up and I'm sure our supporters will give him, and Herschelle, a very warm north-east welcome."

Graeme Smith may miss IPL-5

South Africa's Test captain Graeme Smith will undergo surgery of his left ankle and might miss the entire season of Indian Premier League , CSA team manager Mohammad Moosajee said. " Graeme went to see CSA's ankle specialist in Cape Town on Friday and he confirmed that the best management of the chronic pain in his ankle is surgery, " Moosajee said in a CSA release. " The recovery period after such a surgery usually takes eight to ten weeks, and he will subsequently not be able to represent Pune Warriors at the 2012 edition of the Indian Premier League in India. " Smith said " I'm very disappointed to be missing out on the IPL this year. I was looking forward to my second season with Pune Warriors, especially after my knee set me back last season. "
