South African veteran legspinner Imran Tahir has pulled out of the Big Bash League due to personal reasons. The Melbourne Renegades have suffered another blow with after the 41-year-old spin bowler withdrawing from the ongoing tournament for personal reasons. The Renegades coach Michael Klinger expressed his disappointment with the unavailability of Pakistani-born South African cricketer. “He’s a great player so it is a loss. But at the same time we’ve seen Noor Ahmad a couple of games ago, a bowler who people haven’t seen that much, it might actually work in our favor. He’ll now be able to play a fair chunk of that back end of the season, with Imad Wasim. Nabi has to go home for international duty. Pakistan allrounder Imad Wasim has joined Melbourne Renegades for the second half of the 10the edition of Big Bash League. The 31-year-old will join the Renegades from Boxing Day onwards after the completion of T20I series between Pakistan and New Zealand in New Zealand.  "Imad is one of the best T20 players in the world with his ability to impact games with the ball and to finish the innings with the bat," Renegades coach Michael Klinger said . "He's an experienced player with recent title success, he's capable of bowling in the powerplay and he'll strengthen our middle-order batting." The BBL is scheduled to begin on December 10. Melbourne Renegades have confirmed the arrival of two overseas players Imran Tahir and Noor Ahmad for the 10th edition of the Big Bash League (BBL). South African leg-spinner Tahir, who claimed 236 wickets in 145 ODI and T20I matches - will be available after Christmas. His absence will be filled by Afghanistan left-armer Noor Ahmad. The Afghan international Mohammad Nabi will return to Melbourne Renegades on a one-year contract extension for the upcoming season of the KFC Big Bash League. Nabi, who is the No.1-ranked T20I allrounder will join the Renegades after his ongoing stint with Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League. “I have always enjoyed my time with the Renegades and testing myself against some of the best T20 players in the world in the Big Bash. I’m very pleased to have re-signed for a fourth season,” the 35-year-old said . Nabi has played 27 matches for the Renegades, averaging 30 with 21 wickets with the ball. Australian pacer James Pattinson has joined Melbourne Renegades after signing a three-year contract. “I loved my time at the Renegades and I’m thrilled to be heading back to the club,” the 30-year-old said . “With a young family it’ll be nice to base ourselves at home in Melbourne all year round, although this season might look a little different. “I’m looking forward to forming a strong combination with the other bowlers and playing in front of the passionate Renegades fans at some point.” Pattinson is currently serving his IPL duty with Mumbai Indians. Australian fast-medium bowler James Pattinson has signed a new three-year contract extension with the Melbourne Renegades, that will extend his stay at the Docklands Stadium until at least the end of the 2017-18 season. The Big Bash League giants Melbourne Renegades are reportedly interested in signing the West Indian superstar Chris Gayle, according to cricket.com.au . Stuart Coventry, who is the CEO of the Renegades is excited about the possibility of bringing up the 35-year-old batsman at the Etihad Stadium for next season. "At the moment, we have two international spots on our roster that we need to fill. Chris is obviously a fantastic player he's an excitement machine and he's the sort of character who the fans want to see strut his stuff," Coventry said. The left-hander  Jamaican has previously played for Sydney Thunder in the 2012-13 season, but his former franchise don’t seem to be keen in his services now. New Zealand batsman Jesse Ryder has joined the Big Bash League after signing with the Melbourne Renegades for the upcoming Australian summer.   Ryder, 29, has been granted leave from Otago cricket board, to play with Aussie Renegades . “Respect and appreciation to Otago cricket for their flexibility, ” Ryder said . “I’m stoked and grateful to be taking part in one of the best T20 competitions in the world. “The Renegades have some class players so I’m looking forward to contributing.” The left-hander averages 27.40 at a strike-rate of 145.90 in T20 format, he is currently playing for Essex in the English County Cricket and likely to be joining the Melbourne Renegades in mid-January for four matches and the finals.

West Indies skipper Dwayne Bravo has signed Melbourne Renegades for the KFC T20 Big Bash League .  The 30-year-old Bravo is likely to play match against the Sydney Sixers on Jan 18, and against the Adelaide Strikers on January 22. Melbourne Renegades Coach Simon Helmot said, "Dwayne is one of the best T20 all-rounders in the world. He can bat at the top and bowls anywhere." "He's experienced and we look forward to welcoming him to the club." 

Pakistan allrounder Mohammad Hafeez has signed to a Big Bash League contract with the Melbourne Renegades . He is likely to miss the first two games of the Big Bash League tournament due to international duties with Pakistan in the UAE , begins on December 20. "I have agreed [to] a deal with Melbourne Renegades," Hafeez told ESPNcricinfo. "Playing in Australia is always a tremendous experience and the opportunity will allow me to play around the best players. Since the 2015 World Cup will be in Australia, my stint will help me acquire ample acquaintance of Australian conditions." Currently Hafeez is leading run scorer in T20Is with 1093 runs for his team, and has led the T20 squad since June 2012 with 12 victories out of 18 matches. 

Australian Fast bowlers James Pattinson and Peter Siddle have signed Melbourne Renegades for the forthcoming season of the T20 Big Bash League . West Indies batsman Marlon Samuels has signed Melbourne Renegades for the coming season of Big Bash League. Simon Helmot , Renegades coach said, " He'll provide much-needed firepower at the top of the order and brings a certain X-factor to the team, His quality right-arm offies [offspin] and excellent fielding combine to make him a genuine allrounder.  Marlon provides a huge boost for the team in all facets of the game and we can't wait to see him in Renegade red this summer. The chief of Melbourne Renegades is looking forward to sign England controversial batsman Kevin Pietersen for the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash League series. Renegades boss Stuart Coventry said " I'd like to (meet Pietersen) but I think I would want to get an indication first about his availability before talking further. " " We have three places left on our list and one of them is for an international. "If we can grab someone who stands up at the World Twenty20 that is our first priority, but now that Kevin Pietersen is back in the mix, there's no doubt we and the Sydney Sixers have been having some dialogue with his management. "If he is available we'd love to grab him but there's a lot of curve balls in play at the moment, about his availability, whether he wants to come to Australia, whether he wants to come to Melbourne or Sydney ." Melbourne Renegade s have confirmed the signing of the fast bowler Brendan Drew for this season's Big Bash League . Last summer Drew had played with the Adelaide Strikers and the 28 year-old has also been a regular player for Tasmania. Simon Helmot , the Renegades coach, said, " Brendan is a handy T20 bowler and he proved as much with the Strikers last season. He's certainly been a consistent performer in the shortest form of the game at the domestic level, He's also shown he can handle the willow and has a T20 strike rate of 128 from his 19 games for the Strikers and Tasmania. "

Former Sri Lanka spin maestro Muttiah Muralitharan has signed Melbourne Renegades for the next season of Australian Twenty20 KFC Big Bash League. The 40-year-old who retired from international cricket after the World Cup final 2011. Muralitharan said, " I wanted to play one season in Australia and the opportunity from the Melbourne Renegades was there so I took it with both hands. " " I think Shane is a great bowler and I've always admired him. I'll try to do well and he'll try to do well for his team. " Muralitharan ended his Test career with a record 800 wickets.

Australian all-rounder Andrew McDonald will now play for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the upcoming season of IPL. During the IPL trading window Andrew has moved from Delhi Daredevils to RCB. The BCCI said in a statement, Australia's ALLROUNDER Andrew McDonald now went into the Royal Challengers Bangalore. McDonald is the member of the Melbourne Renegades in Big Bash League .
