Pakistan vs Sri Lanka in UAE (Sharjah)

Today, The PCB has announced that Pakistan will play three Tests against Sri Lanka in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah in the UAE starting from October 18. The first three ODI macthes will be held in Dubai and the fourth ODI will be played in Sharjah in November and the only T20 international match will be played in Abu Dhabi on November 25. The PCB chief operating officer, Subhan Ahmad said in the Dawn " We had a choice of neutral venues but we opted for UAE because it allows us to manage things smoothly. " The third Test of the series will of Test cricket will be played in Sharjah .

New Zealand to tour Zimbabwe in October

New Zealand will play two T20, three ODI and one Test match against Zimbabwe in October. The tour will begin on October 15 in Harare Zimbabwe. The Kiwis will play a two-day warm-up game in Bulawayo before the one-off Test match on November 1. After the tour from Zimbabwe, New Zealand will play against Australia on December 1 in Brisbane for a two-Test series.

Ricky Ponting Wanted To Be a Selector

Expert coaches to be appointed by the PCB - Afridi

Pakistan's former Captain Shahid Afridi , advised to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to appoint specialist coaches . Afridi said the Pakistan team needs an excellent Manager, under which coaches should work on bowling, fielding and batting. He added instead of assistant coach, PCB should also appoint manager.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni to Doctorate degree

Waqar Younis has resigned as a coach for pakistan

Waqar Younis has resigned as a coach for pakistan team because of personal reasons that his and his wife's health. His last and final assignment with pakistan team will be the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe. Waqar Younis said at press conference " I have tendered my resignation to the [Pakistan Cricket] board last week and the tour to Zimbabwe will be my last. " " I only told the players on Saturday morning, and they were shocked because until today the matter was between me and the PCB, but I am sure that this young team will do well in future ." Nadeem Sarwar , PCB spokesman said: " The PCB has accepted his resignation and understands his personal reasons. His tenure was good and we wish him the best in his future ." The PCB did not yet confirm the replacement for Waqar. The Zimbabwe tour will begin on August 28 and it includes one practice game, one Test match, three ODIs and two T20 internationals.

Zaheer Khan's Surgery

Zaheer Khan , Fast bowler out of the England Seires due to ankle injury. Last monday he had a surgery of his injury and now he is recovering well. He was injured in the first test at lords after bowling only 13.3 overs. RP Singh has been involved in the team in place of Zaheer khan.

Zaheer Khan has been out from rest of the tour due to muscle stretch and from his ankle injury. RP Singh soon added to the team to replace zaheer khan. The BCCI said in a statement, "Zaheer Khan's injured his right foot and right ankle muscle. He has to undergo intensive surgery. So, RP Singh soon added to the team in place of zaheer khan." According to the statement, "It takes 14 to 16 weeks to completely overcome from his injury, so that Zaheer wil not be the part of a current test series and the Twenty20 international and one-day series against England."

Collingwood Signed 3 more years with Durham

Paul Collingwood, Former England T20 Captain has signed a three years contract with Durham . Kolkata, 2 Aug 2011 Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly 's restaurant "Sourav's The Food Pavilion" in the posh Park Street has shut down. The five-storeyed restaurant-cum-lounge bar was launched in 2004. Acoording to sources the restaurant had to close due to loss in business while other nearby outlets were earning good. Ganguly's elder brother Snehasish said, however it was a commercial decision because they were both quite busy and had no time for restaurant.
