England's current team is much better - Flintoff

London, Thursday, 4 August 2011

Former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff believes the current England team lead by Andrew Strauss is much better than the 2005 Ashes-winning Michael Vaughan's team. Flintoff was the England hero in 2005 Ashes-winning and his victory is considered the greatest achievement of recent times.

Flintoff said the current team is playing better in every department. He said, "This is a better side than the one we had in 2005. The strength of it and the depth is incredible. In 2005 we had 11 players who had a memorable few weeks and played at their best for a period, but we never played together again."

Flintoff who retired due to injuries since the Ashes in 2009 said that the current team is very strong. He said, "this team is very strong. We've seen them replace players without blinking and it has made no difference to the performance and that has been happening for a while now. They are the best in the world. Not just in ranking, but also in strength. I don't see why they can't dominate for a long time."
