According to reports, Indian batsman Virat Kohli has acquired a lavish villa in Awas Village, Alibaug. As the 34-year-old is presently on national duty in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy, his brother Vikas completed the necessary procedures on his behalf. The 2,000 sq ft villa in Avas Living was acquired by Kohli for a lavish sum of Rs 6 crore, with an additional payment of Rs 36 lakh as stamp duty solely for the property. The villa is equipped with a 400 sq ft swimming pool, and its interiors have been designed by Suzanne Khan, the daughter of Bollywood actor Sanjay Khan. According to the report, Alibaug has an average land price ranging from ₹3000 to ₹3,500 per sq ft, and it is a preferred weekend destination for the affluent class. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has imposed a two-year ban on international spinner Asif Afridi from all cricket activities after the 36-year-old admitted to committing two offences under the PCB’s Anti-Corruption Code for Participants. The offences in question could result in a ban for life, however, the PCB stated that they considered his confession, the extent of his remorse, and his prior record before reaching their decision. Although Asif hasn't represented Pakistan in international cricket, he was included in the T20I and ODI teams for Australia's tour of Pakistan in the previous year. Australian opener David Warner has completed 8,000 runs in Test cricket, becoming the eighth Aussie to do so. The 36-year-old accomplished this milestone during the second Test against South Africa at the MCG, which also happens to be his 100th Test. The star batter hit his 25th Test hundred. The third and latest edition of the Lanka Premier League is to get underway on December 6 in 2023. The T20 format competition will conclude on December 23. Derbyshire have announced that wicketkeeper-batsman Brooke Guest has signed a two-year contract extension with the club, keeping him at The Incora County Ground until the 2025 season.
