Australian opener David Warner has completed 8,000 runs in Test cricket, becoming the eighth Aussie to do so.
The 36-year-old accomplished this milestone during the second Test against South Africa at the MCG, which also happens to be his 100th Test.
The star batter hit his 25th Test hundred. Before this, the right-hander had hit his previous Test century on January 3, 2020 against New Zealand.
Warner currently has scored 8,042 Test runs at an average of 46.21 in 183 innings in 100 Tests.
