Gayle agree to play for Somerset


West Indies star batsman Chris Gayle has agreed to play for Somerset in the domestic Twenty20 league if he is available.


At present, Gayle plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

"He's openly saying he would offer Somerset first refusal on his services in the shorter format," Somerset chairman Andy Nash was quoted as saying by BBC.

The one-day series will be held from from January 11-23 across Australia, and the two T20 internationals will be played in Sydney on January 26 and Melbourne on January 28.
