Gayle, Afridi signs Sydney Thunder


Explosive batsman from West Indies Chris Gayle and Pakistan's all-rounder Shahid Afridi have signed for the Sydney Thunder in Twenty20 Big Bash league this summer.

In last season, Gayle scored 252 runs at an average of 42 for the Thunder.

Shane Duff, Coach of Sydney said, "along with (Australian test opener) David Warner, Chris Gayle is the best T20 player in the world."

Sri Lanka ODI, T20 squad for Australia

Sri Lanka have announced a 16-man squad for the one-day and Twenty20 matches against Australia. The one-day series will be held from from January 11-23 across Australia, and the two T20 internationals will be played in Sydney on January 26 and Melbourne on January 28.
