Umar Akmal signs for Sydney Sixers


The Pakistani batsman Umar Akmal has signed the reigning Champions League and Big Bash League trophy holders, Sydney Sixers.


Akmal will play the first three BBL matches. Akmal said, "I jumped at the opportunity to be a part of the Big Bash League when the Sixers approached me."

The sydney sixers have also signed Daniel Hughes from New South Wales.

Sri Lanka have announced a 16-man squad for the one-day and Twenty20 matches against Australia. The one-day series will be held from from January 11-23 across Australia, and the two T20 internationals will be played in Sydney on January 26 and Melbourne on January 28.
